I've loved the sense of community at this school. The teachers make subjects fun and encourage students to do well in class. College outreach and assistance programs are available on campus and have been a huge help in preparing for the transition to college.
It was mediocre at best. There are some teachers who do a good job of teaching and are good at providing support, but not every teacher. The bathrooms are never clean and always filled with people smoking weed and vaping. However, I greatly enjoy my time as a student in the Visual Arts and Design Academy, which is well-funded and led by fantastic teachers. I would like to see better communication between administration and students and cleaner school facilities.
PHS has been good to me. The teachers are passionate about what they teach and try to spread that passion to others(as much as you can in high school). I've been able to connect with others thanks to groups like the robotics club and also get interested in different subjects like law thanks to the academies
