Jrue Holiday on playing through illness: It's Game 3 of the ECF, so I wasn't going to miss it
Brian Robb: Jrue Holiday: “I didn’t feel too well but I just figured if I got a good day’s rest, it would help me for tonight. It’s Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals so I wasn’t going to miss this game.”
Jay King: Jayson Tatum: “I can’t speak highly enough about Jrue.” He said Holiday wasn’t at shootaround, dealt with chills and needed to play through it all. “Jrue is just a big-time player and made a tremendous play,” Tatum said.
Jay King: During one of the third-quarter huddles, Jayson Tatum said Joe Mazzulla told the Celtics to stop feeling sorry for themselves. “It was one of those timeouts, maybe like five minutes left in the third, when we kind of turned it around.”
Jay King: Jayson Tatum said he enjoys Game 3s the most. “Going into an opponents’ home building. It’s their first home game.” He said the Pacers hadn’t lost a home game since March 18 so he knew it was going to be a battle. They had been 6-0 at home in the playoffs.
