20 “I Would Not Call Transporting 50 Cases Of Nerf Nuggets A ‘Mission.’”

Season 2, Episode 4, “Faster”

Cid and Wrecker from The Bad Batch

It may not be the most memorable line in The Bad Batch, but Tech actually hints that a sort of chicken nugget exists within the Star Wars universe. When Ciddarin “Cid” Scaleback asks the Batch to take on another mission, Wrecker and Omega complain about how Hunter and Crosshair aren’t back from the “mission” Cid had already assigned them. In actuality, Tech unceremoniously reveals they’re merely transporting something called "nerf nuggets."

Season 3, Episode 5, “The Return”

Ice Wyrm in Bad Batch Season 3, Episode 5

The Batch heads to Barton IV to access an Imperial terminal at an abandoned depot, but their mission goes awry when they encounter an ice wyrm lurking beneath the surface. While Hunter and Crosshair attempt to fend off the wyrm, Wrecker asks why there’s always a huge monster they must deal with. In a way, this is a subtle reference to Qui-Gon Jinn’s famous “there’s always a bigger fish” line in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace.

18 “We're Gonna Die! We're Gonna... Be Fine.”

Season 1, Episode 3, “Replacements”

Wrecker and Omega freak out about the Maurader crash landing in The Bad Batch

Having damaged their ship on Saleucami, the Batch plummet toward a moon at the beginning of The Bad Batch season 1, episode 3. Despite Tech’s best efforts, their crash landing seems inevitable. And when the ship is thrown into chaos, Wrecker can’t help but repeat how they’re going to die. 17 “Once You Figure Out One, The Rest Are Easy.”

Season 1, Episode 8, “Reunion”

Cad Bane remains one of Star Wars’ coolest bounty hunters, and his quick work of a group of clones in The Bad Batch season 1 proves it. And even though Hunter insists that he and the Batch are different from regular clones, he’s still taken down by Bane in a quick draw.

Cad Bane and Asajj Ventress are some of the most dangerous bounty hunters ever, and these quotes prove that they'll be a huge threat to the Bad Batch.

16 “I've Got A Few Lives Left.”

Season 3, Episode 9, “The Harbinger”

Asajj Ventress was initially teased in The Bad Batch season 3 trailer, but ended up only appearing in one episode. Her presence seemingly retcons her apparent death in The Dark Disciple novel by Christie Golden. Many expected The Bad Batch to explain how she survived, but Ventress merely gives the clones a vague line about having plenty of lives left. It may be unsatisfactory to some, but this will likely be the only explanation we’ll get for why Ventress' story continues after The Bad Batch.

15 "What Kind Of Evaluation?" "Hopefully Not Mental. Clearly We'd Never Pass That.”

Season 1, Episode 1, “Aftermath”

The Batch didn’t always work as a cohesive unit. Before they had Omega to unite them, there remained a little bit of tension between Tech and Wrecker. When the Batch was called in for a battle evaluation by Admiral Tarkin. Tech slyly comments that if their evaluation was a mental test, they’d likely fail. This was one of Tech’s subtler jabs at Wrecker’s intelligence.

Crosshair looks worried while Howzer looks at him angrily in Star Wars: The Bad Batch season 3, episode 6 "Infiltration."

Halfway through The Bad Batch season 3, Crosshair opens up to Howzer about why he defected from the Empire. Loyalty was a core part of his identity as a clone. Yet the Empire saw him as nothing more than a disposable asset. He gave over his life and his morals to them, and they repaid him by torturing him on Mount Tantiss.

Crosshair

One of five mutant clones created by the Kaminoan scientist Nala Se, Crosshair is a gifted marksman whose skills are almost preternatural in nature. He was the only member of Clone Force 99 to be influenced by the clones' inhibitor chip, but still chose to remain with the Empire for a time even after he'd had the chip removed. Crosshair is clearly on a path of redemption, however, one that will lead him back to his brothers.
