Chevy’s latest entry into the world of electric vehicles (EVs) is the all-new 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV. Front-wheel-drive (FWD) versions have 319 miles of range, generate 213 horsepower, and can add 70 miles of range in as few as 10 minutes with a Level 3 DC fast charger. All-wheel-drive (AWD) versions have 288 horsepower and likely about 275 miles of range. Key Equinox EV rivals include the Hyundai Kona Electric and Nissan Ariya.
Looking at the Equinox EV and Chevy’s Blazer, we feel the “bowtie” brand has found its design mojo. The Equinox EV is flat-out hot-looking, delivering that EV vibe without seeming to try too hard. With flowing lines and enough creases to keep things interesting, the Equinox EV oozes curb appeal in every direction. Likewise, the cabin is an exercise in proportion as well as practicality. The 17.7-inch touchscreen particularly wows us. Yes, you read that correctly: 17.7 inches. An 11-inch digital gauge display occupies space behind the thick 3-spoke steering wheel. With seats for five, the 2024 Chevy Equinox EV is spacious and comfortable.
Front-wheel drive is standard in every Equinox EV trim, driven by a single electric motor producing 213 horsepower. Opting for the all-wheel-drive system adds a second motor to the rear axle and another 75 horsepower for a total of 288 horsepower. The Equinox EV’s regenerative braking system, which uses braking energy to help charge the EV battery, provides several levels of efficiency. Its highest setting translates into one-pedal driving that gradually slows the vehicle as you ease pressure on the accelerator pedal. It can even bring the Equinox EV to a complete stop without engaging the brake pedal.
Chevy offers the Equinox EV in five flavors, beginning with the 1LT ($34,995) and topping things off with the 3RS at an estimated $52,950. Note: These prices don’t include Chevy’s $1,395 delivery fee. Although we detail them below, Chevy won’t market the 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, and 3RS trims until mid-2024. A tricked-out 2RS grade will roll into showrooms before the end of 2023. One startling omission: The Equinox EV does not have Apple CarPlay or Android Auto; however, Google built-in is standard across the board.
Keep in mind that the trims with RS in their designation are primarily appearance packages (with dark details) for the trim sharing the same numerical designation. For example, the 2RS is an appearance package for the 2LT.

2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV 1LT: $34,995
Chevy has only released a few details about how each trim level is equipped. We know the 1LT’s standard features include 19-inch alloy wheels, Wi-Fi capability, Google built-in, an 11-inch driver info center and gauge cluster, and auto on/off LED headlights. Proximity keyless entry allows the Equinox EV to be unlocked simply by having the key fob on your person. Moreover, it enables the push-button start.
Manually adjustable front bucket seats with a center console and a 60/40-split folding rear seat accommodate five. Power windows, door locks, and outboard mirrors are standard, along with a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel. The infotainment system includes a 6-speaker audio system, Bluetooth connectivity, and that welcome 17.7-inch touchscreen.
Every 2024 Chevy Equinox EV features advanced safety tech, including rear-park assist with automatic reverse braking, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, and forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection. Lane-keeping assist and lane-departure warning are also standard.

2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV 1LT includes:

2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV 2LT: $37,950 (estimated)
To the 1LT content, the 2LT adds an 8-way power driver’s seat, heated front seats, a front LED light bar (stretches around the front of the hood), heated outboard mirrors, and roof rails.
Options include a hands-free power rear liftgate, adaptive cruise control, HD surround-view camera (provides a 360-degree bird’s-eye view of the vehicle and its surroundings), a panoramic sunroof, and Super Cruise (General Motors’ advanced self-driving technology).

As the only Equinox EV trim being sold before the summer of 2024, the EV 2RS is loaded with bells and whistles. We expect an AWD model with options like adaptive cruise control, a surround-view camera, a hands-free power rear liftgate, and maybe even Super Cruise.
Basically, RS indicates a dark or blacked-out appearance package, both inside and out. In the case of the 2RS, this package gives the 2LT model an available black or red interior, 20-inch dark alloy wheels, unique grille styling, and a black Chevy bowtie badge.
Any 2LT options not included among the 2RS’s standard features are still available for this model.

2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV 3LT: $42,900 (estimated)
Building on the 2LT trim, the 3LT adds a 6-way power front passenger seat, ventilated front seats, heated second-row outboard seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a hands-free power rear liftgate, adaptive cruise control, an HD surround-view camera, and 21-inch alloy wheels.
To the 2RS options, the 3LT adds an available head-up display and a rear camera mirror that uses a rear-pointed camera to display what is behind you on the rearview mirror. Tall rear passengers will not block your view out the back of this new Chevy electric SUV.

2024 Chevrolet EV 3LT includes:
