I used to go to Shrewsbury High School and I was also part of the Worcester public schools. So i do have something to compare it to. When i moved to Shrewsbury in the 6th grade i remember i was way behind on mu math but it was because i went to different school. The teachers i had were so amazing and helped me click things together and they were all so great! then as i went through the grade the teachers were always so incredible and had opportunities that i did not think i could have at the old school. so it really is catered to the students. the bad part of it is that it was not as diverse as i thought it was. i was 1 out of probably 10 maybe 15 latin kids. which made it really hard to fit in because of my background and two i was basically a target for micro aggressions and insults. which they only got a slap on the wrist for which sucks and does not teach them not to do it again. but overall when i was there it was a good school with opportunities, just the people are not great.
Outstanding application of materials and focus on college readiness but depending on your cultural background. English language learners are not encouraged to apply to college or pursue current education, or less priority by staff and receiving less assistance by staff
Shrewsbury public schools is a nice school districts with many options for classes, extracurriculars, and sports. It has very diverse community. Overall, it’s great.
