          Great Mowers
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have just over 1/2 acre lot, and this is perfect size mower. Nice cutting lines and easy to handle. One improvement I would like to try and fix is when mulching the grass climbs up in thick grass. I plan to try different blades to see if that helps.

Was time for an upgrade...so happy with our CC800
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just 3 mowing in and so happy with our purchase. Clean cut and easy to control for both my husband and I. Easily went through a large patch of overgrown wild flower and long grasses we chose not to mow starting in the spring season. My husband particularly likes being able to stand upright while mowing vs leaning over and into the work. Our previous walk behind mower was 14 yrs old and was undersized for our new yard. Easily now get through our over 1.5 acre grassed area. The wide cut makes for a much faster and efficient mow with no clumping.

          Solid Machine
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this about a month ago and have used it 4 times. Does a great job on the lawn, takes a little getting use to operating it. Has plenty of power and is easy to clean, deck wash works great. key to smooth operating is putting it in drive slowly, so it doesn't jump. Only con for me that kept it from getting 5 stars is where the gear change is, it's in an awkward spot. It shifts easily from 1 to 4 but from neutral to reverse, you have to lift up a bit on the handle. Like everything else, practice will make perfect in getting used to the operation of this solid machine. highly recommended.

            Honest Unbiased Review
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For part time business use, I have had this unit for 4 weeks now with 12 hours on the counter and I couldn’t say anything more amazing about this machine. The cut quality is great and I always get compliments on the mini stripes it leaves. The power for somewhat tall dry brush, around 18” mowed it down without bogging on the highest setting. With tall grass as that was, you do still need to go over the area 2 times as a minimum to get it to cut evenly which is to be expected. I can’t say enough good things! You won’t regret your purchase

Nice and clean cut... very pro looking. no problem with wet long grass except for some clumps... not so great for tight areas around small bushes and trees due to weight and power... overall very nice! I've been using a Toro Recycler Personal Pace (which was excellent) for 6 years which now feels like a toy mower compared with the CC.

I purchased this machine in May of this year and it currently has less than 15 hours of residential use per the picture attached. The yard I use it on is just over a 1/2 acre and really helped me out reduce cutting time vs. using my 22" Toro. I have some real Quality Control Concerns with this machine as of yesterday (9/8/2019). You can see by the one picture the mower totally scalped my grass as one side of the deck dropped, specifically the side with the discharge chute. I promptly disengaged the blades and brought the Cub Cadet into the garage to trouble shoot the issue. At first I thought it would be a minor adjustment, however after further investigation one of the joint welds failed on the deck lifting mechanism. This was the joint closest to the discharge shoot causing the deck to drag to that side causing the grass to be scalped. You can see by the picture I was making straight runs up and down my lawn when this happened. The Cub Cadet had a 3-year warranty, however I currently have concerns more issues like this will happen after I get it fixed. I would appreciate if someone from Home Depot can reach out to me and make this situation right. Suffice to say I had to use my old Toro to finish up the side of the yard in the picture and was not very happy since I just use the Toro to get into smaller areas since purchasing the Cub Cadet. Now I'm stuck using the Toro until the cub cadet gets fixed.

I had the 1997 Troy-Bilt edition of this mower for over 20 years. It served me very well and I wanted to replace it with a similar style mower, so I ordered the 33 inch Cub Cadet made by MTD. Unfortunately, I never got to try it out. The first unit I received had incorrect support bars for the handlebars installed that were rubbing against the rear tires rendering the machine unusable (see image). Home Depot was very accommodating in arranging picking up the machine and sending out a new unit. The second unit arrived with the correct support bars. I got it set up and it fired up right away with the electric start and I was feeling optimistic until I noticed the pull start cord came out a few inches of the machine from the vibrations. I turned it off and started it back up with the pull start. It fired up, but starter cord would not recoil back into the machine (see image). As a side note, the first machine was missing one of the nuts to install the gear shift handle and the send machine only came with one bolt and no nuts (should be two of each). Home Depot was again accommodating and arranged a pick up for the second unit - I will now be looking to go with a different mower. MTD just doesn't make mowers like the original brands used to (Troy-Bilt / Cub Cadet). Although I didn't get to use it, I can tell the controls are not as good as they used to be on the older version. The blade control and drive control used to be on the same handle so you could drive it with one hand which was very helpful for getting under trees. The drive control lever used to face down so you could easily feather the handle with your fingers to control the speed. It looks like it would be hard to do that with handle facing up and having to be controlled by your thumb. Overall, I'm disappointed with the quality of this machine out of the box, but Home Depot had great customer service with the exchange and ultimate return which was all done through their online order "Text With Us" option.

Perfect for 1/2 acre plus lawn. Key start is great, the cut is smooth and even. The drive takes a little getting use to, kind of wish that the drive was a variable (gradual) drive instead of selecting a speed and it just engaging. I only used it twice and have no complaints thus far, very happy with the purchase.

Takes a little while to get used to. Walking behind what is basically a riding mower. Once you figure out how your going to handle obstacles and turns, it is a good mower.

Just what I was searching for and more.......
If your search has brought you here, then your search is over. Mower arrived with minor assembly needed, connect battery, tighten handles, adjust gear lever. I mowed a half acre that had been over grown. It handled it with ease. I kept it in 1st gear (I never cut this field before) When I ran into a soft spot near the wetlands, It kept right on going. It handles very easily for this size machine. I feels so light yet very powerful and responsive. I highly recommend this machine for a 1/2 acre or more ( how far can you walk ? ;)
