Always great food and service. The veal marsala, chicken marsala, veal "schnitzel" and eggplant rotoli were excellent and tasty. Bananas foster cheesecake was refreshing. We continue to come here for food and service which was quick and efficient and kept our water and drinks filled.

Food was amazing! Service was wonderful as well only complaint is that since they are so busy entrees took a while since they had a huge party that came in they needed to serve as well when we arrived. But provided drinks and bread non stop while we waited would totally recommend don't forget your wallet it is a lil $$ but worth it! food was so fresh and homemade will be back! :)

We called earlier in the day and changed the reservation from 6 to 7 people and received conformation we arrived to a table for 6. our server Manuel had a bad attitude, it started when he asked for my drink order and suggested a wine, I ordered a lemonade as I do not drink. he gave me attitude I ordered chicken parmesan, which had absolutely no taste, portion was a good size though, just no taste what so ever, my Wife ordered scallops which was way over priced and again she said hers was no taste also, when Manuel brought our food I asked him for a glass of ICE as my Lemonade was warm, again attitude and he never brought it. never came to check on us until we where all done with our meal. we where there celebrating my mothers birthday and spent a lot of money, for a tasteless overprice with bad service meal. will not be back or recommend this restaurant to anyone. live and learn

Food was awesome for all five of us! Went for Mothers day the Friday before and loved the music. The grilled calamari, the strip steak, Vesuvio potatoes, espresso, drinks, etc were all on point. Even my leftover steak was amazing the next day. Service was top notch.

We had a great time! Happy to see the Sausage & Pepper Ravioli officially made it to the permanent menu instead of being just a special! It’s my favorite dish!

My second visit here and it was the total opposite experience of our first visit from the service to the food. Our waiter was very rude and not really caring to take care of us. Did not even ask us if we wanted desert before bringing our check to us when we were ready to order something but we were so disappointed with his rude and uncaring behavior with us. Needless to say we will not be returning to this restaurant again.

My wife and I had dinner last evening at Mambo Italiano. It had been many months since we had been there previously, and we were happily surprised to see that renovations were completed. The interior of the restaurant and bar was lovely.. Our server, Skyler, was very professional, polite, friendly, and attentive. My wife had eggplant Parmesan, and I had spaghetti marinara, both of which were delicious. The servings were generous, and we even had enough for a second meal to take home. The dinner was delicious and very enjoyable. We were not rushed, and we were able to have a wonderful conversation at dinner. This restaurant is a neighborhood gem.

Mambo’s is our favorite go to Italian restaurant. The ambiance, drinks, service, wine list & food are outstanding. The live music on Friday & Saturday is a great touch; Daniel is terrific!

Our party of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Mambo Italiano. Our server, Michael, was very personable, knowledgeable about the menu and provided wonderfully attentive service. The menu is outstanding, and we all enjoyed the dishes we decided upon from pasta to eggplant rotolo to clams to chicken. The rest of the staff, at the hostess stand and other servers, were also friendly to us. We will definitely return to this restaurant.

The food was very good. There were four of us and each one of us really enjoyed our dinners. Our wait-person, John, was outstanding. He was very attentive to our table and the tables around us. He rattled off five or six of the nightly specials without having to read them. He was very knowledgeable about both their wines and beers. I would definitely ask to be seated in his area the next time I go there.

No doubt an excellent restaurant with lots of items to chose from on the menu. Definitely will go back. We had two of the specials: Seafood risotto and Chilean sea bass.

Why is this amazing italian restaurant hidden away in a strip mall in Mundelein. The food is so great--homemade, a huge selection, fresh. SO GOOD. My father in law loves veal and they have a whole section. He already made reservations for next weekend. I had the scallops and they were the best I have had in a long time. Everything was wonderful. The service was just a little slow because they were so busy. I didn't mind that they weren't trying to kick us out of there!
