Columbus Academy Reviews

I have a child at this school, and I'm blown away by the opportunities she has - from classroom teachers to staff members in athletics (particularly Middle School athletics), she has been challenged, cared for, supported, and mentored. Her class is diverse in terms of where students come from, their racial and religious backgrounds, and the things that interest them. As a parent, I like that she is around students with all kinds of viewpoints, many that challenge her own ways of thinking.
During the high school years, there has been a nice balance between her academics and extracurriculars. It's not an overwhelming push to simply achieve "good results" in terms of college admissions, but the appropriate emphasis on preparation and expertise in this area that are the hallmarks of the Columbus Academy experience.

Great school with low teacher to student ratio in the classroom and strong academics. So many opportunities for students outside the classroom as well.
Columbus Academy has all the right tools and opportunities for the students willing to seek them. After attending the school from pre k to senior year I can say that I am truly grateful for the opportunity. To start with the positives of the school, it’s beautiful, cultivates a close bond between students and their teachers, elite curriculum, and a close community. Despite all the positives Columbus Academy can be a nightmare for the wrong student. It takes a certain student to fit into the community and excel in the classroom. Additionally, I believe the school is having an identity crisis whether to be the strict, traditional school it once was or transform into a more contemporary independent school. For the right student Academy has all the resources to great a wonderful student.
