Suspiria

Suspiria ★★★★

I honestly don't know if I like or dislike this any more or less than Argento's film. The aesthetic is wildly different, and a part of me is more attracted to Argento's vibrant imagery compared to Luca's bleak eye, but I find myself equally as intrigued here by its story and witchcraft lore. I find it fascinating, especially after spending some time reading up the subject matter and the detailed choreography. It's a wildly uncomfortable narrative and Luca's emphasis on its grotesque nature and his unapologetic use of body horror make for a very different experience compared to the original.

Dakota Johnson should be in every film ever made.
