I was traveling with my mother for work/family time. Our AirBnB cancelled on us a day before we were due to arrive in Columbus. This property ended up being way better than our AirBnB would've been!
I cannot say enough about the property and the staff. I had requested an early check in and was going to check my bags when we were told our rooms were ready! Bev at the front desk was so nice and helpful. She continued to touch base with us through out our stay to ensure we were having a great stay!
DJ the valet was super helpful and took pity on me fighting with the luggage cart and helped us with our luggage. I was so appreciative of his help!
The breakfast offerings were beyond what I would normally expect for a free breakfast. Edwin made sure we had everything we needed and we looked forward to seeing him during breakfast throughout our stay. Breakfast is served in the bank vault which is pretty cool! A great selection of hot and cold items, coffees & teas, fruit. Food was replenished in a timely manner and the area with the tables and such was very inviting and cozy.
We each stayed in a studio suite and our rooms were next to each other on the 14th floor. We each had a nice view of the city and our room layouts were a bit different but the kitchen was well appointed with everything you might need. I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable the beds are since I tend to struggle with this when traveling. I slept like a baby on this trip! I did not get our housekeepers name, but she was so nice and would chat with us each morning and it was appreciated. Both our rooms were spotless and super comfortable.
It is clear that this hotel has excellent management as I was blown away by how nice and welcoming everyone that we encountered on property was. Maybe I am just used to how things are on the east coast but I will definitely be staying at this property when we come back to Columbus.
I will add that we normally stay at the Renaissance right around the block. I found the Renaissance stuffy, poorly designed rooms and NOISY. Like hearing the room next door going to the bathroom and flushing, drunk guests in the halls slamming doors at all hours of the night kind of loud. Not to mention their bizarre bathroom/closet setup. The Residence Inn was quiet. There is your average city noise but nothing compared to what we traditionally deal with at a downtown property. I never heard my neighbors next door or anybody out in the hallways slamming doors despite there being a large party in house.
I did not have a chance to try the in-house restaurant in the lobby as we were busy but I have heard good things.
All in all, by fair my best stay in Columbus.

As one of our stops during our honeymoon road trip, we decided to stay at this residence inn in Columbus not knowing what to expect or how much we were going to enjoy our stay here.
The valets were very nice and took great care of our car and we didn’t have to worry about parking the car ourselves and worry about if it was safe at all.
This is an old bank turned hotel and it has this incredible vibe of being modern and vintage at the same time. They have kept a couple of the original touches like the elevator lights telling you which way it was going, but also having a very modern feel to the rooms. Everyone at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly, but what set this place apart was the bar in the lobby.
The Buckeye Bourbon House is a vintage looking bourbon bar that almost feels like a pop up location. My wife and I stopped there before our dinner reservations and after dinner and were greeted warmly by the bartenders. More specifically our bartender for the night was Molly. She was extremely knowledgeable about bourbon and was great for a good joke, whether you wanted a dirty joke or a punny joke. She had both.
I highly recommend this hotel for either a short stay like ours or a longer stay. It was a lot of fun and I would certainly go back.

Nice hotel, very nice breakfast bar, no parking lot for guests. You may have to park and haul your luggage a block or so and pay for parking. The valet parking was full on a Friday night because there is a restaurant attached to the hotel lobby.

Clean. Safe. Comfortable. Good location. Friendly staff. Nicely furnished and good climate control.
Adequate breakfast.
There is no self parking on-site but I found the Valets to be top notch, in particular Nicholi along with Bradye, Ali, and Ashanti. I would text as I was leaving my room that I needed my car and my car would be out front by the time I got the lobby. Very outgoing team and addressed me by name and thoughtfully engaged me about my day — even giving me a few snacks as I departed.
The hotel bar is not something I hope to ever experience again — the food was effortless and menu small— the bartenders were nice but not engaging — even on a slow night. They also can’t be bothered to be open on Sunday. Fortunately, there are good food/bar (Like Lola’s Kitchen) options within walking distance.

My husband and I had a Great stay at the Residence Inn downtown for his birthday weekend. The hotel valet service was well worth it as we could come and go as we pleased and never had to worry about finding a spot. The system worked great by sending a text when we wanted the car and Nicholi always pulled up quickly. Nicholi was so personable and gave us detailed directions/local recommendations for brunch, drinks and dining in the area.

This is an very interesting building- an old bank repurposed into a hotel. Many of the original fittings were kept throughout the lobby. The breakfast area is the old vault. Rooms were what you can expect from a Residence Inn, as was the breakfast. Location is convenient to the downtown offerings. Giving this a 4 star only due to expensive valet parking and proximity to construction beeping that starts precisely at 7am. Thankfully I was just at a midway point on a longer trip and needed to leave pretty early to make it to my next destination on time, but it might be a good idea to consider somewhere else if you are going for a true leisure trip. There is surface street parking nearby that is cheaper than the valet and within the same block.

Stayed one night while visiting COSI and I must say I have never had a better hotel experience. DJ the valet was incredibly nice and helpful. Every staff member we encountered during our stay was super nice and honestly treated us like family staying in their home. The room was one of the cleanest I’ve ever stayed in and I loved the full kitchen, that was so helpful for our family. The bar was a great experience as well, drinks were well made, atmosphere and customer service were stellar. Usually I don’t have high expectations for hotel breakfast but I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of options and how good everything tasted. Check out was seamless, valet arrived quickly and had a wonderful conversation with Yvonne and Beverly as we waited for our vehicle. The architecture of the building alone is worth a visit, it used to be a bank depository and was built in the 1930’s. The breakfast area is actually one of the old vaults which we found super unique, unlike anywhere we have ever stayed before. 10th floor room view was awesome at night, you got a great view of the city. 10/10 if I ever come back to Columbus this is where I will stay every time!

Overall was a good hotel. We’re in a room to small for my family but they moved us to a way bigger room for just a little more. Nicholi our valet driver was very friendly and good at his job and while having a lot of cars to valet our car was usually on time. Definitely recommend it this place for a quick stay and is pretty cheap for in the city.
