Video Diary: The Creature

The creature, observing society from the shadows has learnt human ways – what is good and what is evil. Which way will he go?

'I was benevolent; my heart glowed with love and humanity; but am I not alone, miserably alone? You, my creator, abhor me; what hope can I gather from your fellow-creatures, who owe me nothing? They spurn and hate me.' The Creature

On the fateful night of his ‘birth’ the creature was abandoned by this father, Victor Frankenstein, and has since been desperate to be accepted. He is the bitter result of an experiment that went terribly wrong. Along with his painful and deteriorating scars he was never expected to think, feel or to desire love. Observing society from the shadows he has learnt human ways, how to do good and how to inflict pain and misery.

The Creature longs for love and affection but knows only rejection and cruelty, he now wants his own chance for happiness and has made a deal with his creator. As Victor and Elizabeth prepare for their big day, the Creature watches, if Victor gives him a companion he will remain harmless, if Victor fails, the Creature will destroy everything.
