- Steve_of_N21London, UK2,954 contributionsFortunately I had been lured to Burton on Trent for its fine ales and pubs rather than its retail opportunities, but having some time to kill we decided to look around the town centre and was tempted into Burton Place by the inviting front sign. Oh dear. If I say that the most interesting retail outlet in this one is a charity shop then that tells you all you need to know.
The Coopers Place shopping arcade almost opposite is better but Next and Primark are probably top of the chain shops here.
