Academic Curriculum

At Chingford Sixth Form, all students follow an academic curriculum that is best suited to their individual talents and future prospects. The vast majority of students study three A-Levels, however a small number of exceptionally able students can study four A-Levels after agreement from the Head of Sixth Form.

Students have the opportunity to study the EPQ alongside their courses. Students receive additional lessons in preparation for this qualification.

A number of students study alternative A-Levels including our Creative Media BTEC, Cambridge National Qualification in ICT, and Skills for Business NCFE course. Students can choose to follow a combination of A-Level and alternative qualifications to suit their needs and interests.

All students in the Sixth Form follow a tutorial programme, key skills classes, and participate in a games lesson once a week. Students have the opportunity to take part in a range of clubs and extra-curricular opportunity to broaden their curriculum experience as much as possible.
