- silverspireSingapore, Singapore380 contributionsSecond time here (first time years ago without young kids) and we still managed to spend about 3 hours here in total. It’s a nice place to stroll around.Written May 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- wireless_in_CAUnited States7,431 contributionsIf one visited during the annual Kobe Port fireworks in October then this would be an option to watch the show, albeit partially blocked, but less crowded.
We liked the layout of the shops and on the first floor there were small bridges from the street to the store entrances. That was a nice feature.
A large Ferris wheel anchored one end and views of Kobe Port, Kobe Port Tower were clear with lots of outdoor seating (both on the second and ground levels) to hang out. Cruise ships were also seen boarding and departing nearby.
Shopping included mostly Japanese brands, ie Muji, but Western, ie Banana Republic, in addition to restaurants (sit down and fast food). A Ghibli store was here as well for fans like us.
Worth a stop to visit and a short 5 minute walk from Kobe Station.Written December 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This zoo does a pretty nice job of caring for the animals. Most of the animals are elder animals. There are temperature controls in the pens and cages of animals. There is obvious effort expended in caring for them.
Lions, bears, giraffes, hippos, jaguars, penguins, elephants, tigers, koalas, and even a panda.
The panda is scheduled to be returned to China last year but due to COVID, its return to China has been delayed. The panda is very old,
The bears were playing in the pool for over 30 minutes. Never knew that a hippo's bellow can be so loud. Koalas were just so cute. The giraffe wandered over and started to munch on leaves just above our heads.
Perhaps it was because it was a weekday but the crowds were minimal. Be aware of the weather. There is no cover. Avoid if it is raining or blazing hot. As for our trip, the weather was very comfortable so this added to our enjoyment.
It took a good 4 hours to look at most of the zoo. We probably took longer because of the spectacular show the bears were doing in the pool. You should be able to do it faster.
Lots of parking on site. Probably easier to come by Hankyu train. The station is across the street from the zoo entrance

We visited the Starbucks at the park and sat outside Starbucks to enjoy the views while drinking coffee. It was nice walking around the park.Written January 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- wireless_in_CAUnited States7,431 contributionsThe Ikuta Shrine was one of the oldest in Japan but now surrounded by modern buildings.
The grounds includes a row of torii gates, a small park and pond, in addition to the shrine itself. The buildings were brightly painted and showed to be well taken care of.
Worth a short visit if nearby the Sannomiya station.Written November 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It also has interaction session with dogs and rabbits but you meed to do the reservation which is quote hard to get the slot except on the quiet day.
It is mostly indoor so it is good alternative on rainy days. It take aroud few minutes by train from JR kobe station.

A wonderful view of the port city and East to Osaka can be seen on a clear day. There's a restaurant up the top; walk halfway down the mountain visiting the glass house and catch the ropeway back down. Tip: Buy your ticket online to save time.Written October 9, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Alan KSanta Clara, CA44 contributionsIt's pretty weird because you head out the back way of the Shin Kobe station and follow a path that weaves past houses. I went early morning and there was almost no one else there. A few senior citizens and I guess some residents who were friendly and would greet me as I passed them.
It is a hike, your fitness level will matter if you want to go see all the falls and go up to the herb garden. I didn't go that far since my legs were still recovering from activities the previous day. I wouldn't mind coming back one day to do it in its entirety. There was some signs that indicated there might be some wild pigs or boars in the area so I guess be vigilant.Written December 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There is parking near the top (500Y per entry I think) and a 10 minute walk.
It’s abt 4 deg C (7deg F) colder at the top than in Kobe. So bring warm clothing in Dec.

- S. BacMantua, Italy176 contributionsI was invited to go on a very, very exciting van trip to Mount Rokko and I was very happy until I saw all those bends along the mountain and became a bit scared. The road was gruelling so I held tight but at the end we arrived and every of us was simply blown away by the powerful view on the hill. From the top you can see anything and sunsets there are magic, here is proof if you don't believe me.Written January 25, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JimZuSingapore, Singapore461 contributionsThis outlet has 210 shop and it is well design for the area. . However , the brands inside are not as big as those which I went to in Paris and Italy .. so I did not managed to buy much . This place was a bit tad far also as I stay in homachi osaka (central osaka)… I took 1.5 hr to come by train and bus.
When going back , I saw there are some bus and I took bus from this outlet to Shin Osaka .. that was more convenient.. bus ride was about 45 min to shin osaka station and cost 890yen. A good ride after a long shopping day .Written April 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
