Zimbabwe have stunned Pakistan and handed them their second successive last-ball defeat in the 2022 world cup. However, in this case, Pakistan allowed the momentum to slip away. Led by Sikandar Raza's three wickets, Zimbabwe secured a one-run win. There were several individual performances of note by Pakistan - by Mohammad Wasim, Shadab Khan, Shan Masood and Haris Rauf. However, Pakistan slipped away at crucial moments in the game and allowed Zimbabwe to register a come-from-behind win while defending 130.

One full toss, smacked over the deep mid wicket region for a six. Mohammad Nawaz has brought the requirements down to 11 from 6 balls. Nawaz was in the middle in the last game bowling the last over trying to win a game for Pakistan, he is back there again - this time with the bat - but with the same responsibility. Will this be his moment of redemption?

Only three runs were conceded by Richard Ngarava in the 17th over. Pakistan need 29 runs in the last three overs

Sikandar Raza strikes again. And it's the big wicket of Shan Masood. Raza fires the ball fast and full down the leg side, but it is well collected by the wicketkeeper, who whips the bails in a flash while Masood falls over while balancing.94/6 in 15.1 overs.

TWO IN TWOSikandar Raza is on a hat-trick. Haider Ali plays the wrong line and gets trapped legbefore off the first ball. Zimbabwe are staying afloat in this contest.88/5 in 13.5 overs

WICKETWith victory in sight, Shadab's attempt to hit big shots has backfired, as he mistimes one to the fielder at long off. He departs after a half-century stand for the fourth wicket. Sikandar Raza with the wicket. 88/3 in 13.4 overs

WICKETPakistan have been pegged back further with another wicket. Luke Jongwe strikes in his first over with Iftikhar Ahmed getting caught down the leg side. 36 for 3 in 7.4 overs.

WICKETIt's another strike, another big scalp. Mohammad Rizwan plays the ball on to the stumps and Zimbabwe are ensuring that they make a contest out of this. Blessing Muzarabani with the wicket.23/2 in 4.4 overs

WICKET Babar Azam falls after a scratchy start. The Zimbabwe pacers have troubled the Pakistani openers with the movement on offer and eventually managed to induce a leading edge from the bat of Babar which flew to the fielder at point.

Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have walked out to open the chase

Pakistani bowlers, led by Mohammad Wasim and Shadab Khan, ensured that Zimbabwe were limited to a below-par 130 for 8. The duo combined to bag seven wickets to trigger a drastic collapse, and were well aided by Haris Rauf, who proved hard to score off. This should be an easy chase for Pakistan, ideally. But funnier things have happened in cricket.

Haris Rauf has finished his spell, returning figures of 1 for 12, his most economical spell in T20Is

ON A HAT-TRICK It's two in two for Mohammad Wasim as well. Luke Jongwe plays the ball back on to the stumps, handing the pacer his third wicket of the match. Zimbabwe slide to95 for 7 in 14.4 oversfrom a fairly healthy 95 for 3 exactly an over earlier.

WICKETZimbabwe's slide continues. The dangerous Sikandar Raza is dismissed while attempting to take on Mohammad Wasim Jr's short ball. He pulls it straight to the fielder at fine leg.

2 IN 2:Just when it seemed like Zimbabwe were looking to accelerate, Shadab Khan has struck twice in two balls. Sean Williams is cleaned up while attempting to reverse sweep while Regis Chakabva gets an outside edge which is superbly caught by a diving Babar Azam at slips.95/5 in 14 overs

WICKET Shadab Khan has struck. A wicket was around the corner. Troubled by Shaheen Afridi earlier, Shumba departs getting a leading edge to the leg spinner and offering Shadab an easy return catch. 64/3 in 9.4 overs

DROPPEDIftikhar has put down an easy chance at mid wicket. Sean Williams, batting on 9, pulls a short delivery by Shaheen Afridi straight to the fielder but gets a life.

STRIKE 2Wesley Madhevere is struck legbefore by Mohammad Wasim Jr. The on-field umpire thinks the ball has bounced a bit too much, but Pakistan take a review and have the decision overturned. Two wickets in quick succession and Zimbabwe now have two new batters in the middle.43 for 2 in 5.2 overs

WICKET Haris Rauf strikes. Craig Ervine is hurried into a pull shot and ends up getting a top edge to be caught. However, he has ensured that his side is off to a quick start. 42/1 in 5 overs

With not much movement on offer, Zimbabwe openers have been quick to take advantage of Shaheen Afridi's fuller length deliveries and help the side to a quick start. It's Shaheen Afridi's most expensive first over in T20Is.14 for no loss in 1 over.

Craig Ervine and Wesley Madhevere have walked out to open the innings for Zimbabwe. Shaheen Afridi with the new ball.

TOSS: Zimbabwe have won the toss and elected to bat. Babar Azam isn't complaining. Both teams have made one change each to their XIs.

ICYMI

Hello and welcome to Mach 24 of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022, set to be played between Pakistan and Zimbabwe, in Perth. This will be the first contest for the Babar Azam-led side the thriller at MCG against India. Despite having several standout performers in the match, Pakistan couldn't secure a win and would want nothing less than that in what promises to be a tight tussle for a spot in the semifinals. Zimbabwe, on the other hand, managed to secure a point from the rain-marred clash against South Africa but would hope to but up a better performance against Pakistan.
