METEOROLOGIST SANDRA SHAW SANDRA, YOUR TIMING IT OUT FOR US WHEN EXACTLY WE’LL SEE THE HOTTEST TEMPERATURES TODAY. IT ALWAYS HAPPENS AT ABOUT 3:00 ON A TYPICAL DAY. SO 3:00 PM IS OUR PEAK DAYTIME HEATING BECAUSE OF COURSE WE’RE HEATED FROM THE GROUND UP. AND YOU KNOW I WAS THINKING ABOUT THE RUNNING. I WAS LIKE, I REALLY WANT TO GO RUNNING TODAY, BUT I DON’T THINK IT’S GOING TO HAPPEN BECAUSE I DIDN’T GO EARLY. WE’RE GOING TO HIT THE MID 90S THIS AFTERNOON, GOING TO BE REALLY, REALLY EXTREME FOR US. WE’RE UP ALREADY TWO DEGREES OVER THE LAST 24 HOURS IN WEST PALM, UP FOUR DEGREES IN VERO AND UP SIX DEGREES INLAND IN INDIAN TOWN. SO ALSO WITH THAT SAID, WE HAVE A FIRE WEATHER WARNING UP. THIS IS FOR THE NORTHERN END OF THE TREASURE COAST FROM VERO DOWN TO PORT SAINT LUCIE AND OKEECHOBEE. THE CONDITIONS ARE RIPE BECAUSE OF THE HEAT AND THE DRY CONDITIONS FOR BRUSH FIRES TO IGNITE. IT’S FROM ONE UNTIL SEVEN. ALL RIGHT, TEMPERATURES ALREADY PUMPED UP THIS MORNING. WE’VE GOT 77 IN INDIANTOWN MID 70S IN OKEECHOBEE, MID 70S. MOST OF THE TREASURE COAST AND THEN REALLY UPPER 70S IN PALM BEACH COUNTY. LIKE WE HAVE BEEN THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS IN ROUTE TO A DAYTIME HIGH TODAY. IMPACT WEATHER OF ABOUT 94 TO 96 DEGREES. THE RECORD HIGH FOR PBIA IS 94. IT WAS SET BACK IN 1998 AND NOTABLE THAT WE’RE ALREADY UP TO 90 AS SOON AS NOONTIME. SO AGAIN, BEAUTIFUL AND SUNNY, BUT HOT. WE GET A LITTLE BREAK FOR MOTHER’S DAY. I DON’T WANT TO STAND OVER THE FLOWERS, BUT WE’RE GOING TO BE IN THE UPPER 80S, STILL ABOVE AVERAGE, HOT AND DRY, BUT AT LEAST A LITTLE FRONT WILL GET THROUGH HERE BY THEN. SO HERE’S WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE 95 TODAY. SIZZLING. SCORCHING TOMORROW 93. MAYBE AN ISOLATED SHOWER SUNDAY 89 BECAUSE A WEAK FRONT KIND OF SUBTLY WILL GET THROUGH HERE BY SUNDAY MORNING. SO 89 FOR THE MOMS OUT THERE. PARTLY CLOUDY AND DRY MONDAY WE’RE IN THE UPPER 80S AND THEN IMPACT WEATHER TUESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY, NOT ONLY WITH THE HEAT WITH SOME SCATTERED SHOWERS AND STORMS AROUND AS WELL. FUTURE TRACK SHOWING THESE CONTOURS WITH THE HEAT OVER THE PENINSULA OF FLORIDA. THERE’S THAT FRONT THAT SLIDES ON IN A LITTLE PRESENT FOR MOM OUT THERE. AS FAR AS YOUR BEACH AND BOATING GOES. 2 TO 4FT SOUTH WINDS AT 10 TO 15 KNOTS, AND AN EXCEPTIONALLY HIGH RISK OF RIP CURRENTS. SO TAKE IT EASY OUT THERE AND US STAY HYDRATED. I MEAN
