Join trail blazing television and Cable TV Executive, Charlotte Schiff Booker, as she joins the Women in the House Network to discuss her new memoir, "Get Outta Of My Way: A Storied Life.”

In the early #1960’s, at a time when gender roles were strictly defined, Charlotte Schiff-Booker, a single mother of three boys, crafted her own pioneering path in the male-dominated world of television and became pioneer in cable television. Charlotte went from a Secretary to Executive Vice President and Director of Manhattan Cable Television, Associate Publisher, and General Manager of Time Inc’s People Magazine, Producer of a CBS television series based on People Magazine People series, and Co-founder of CBS Cable with William S. Paley, founder/CEO of Columbia Broadcasting System. Charlotte Schiff-Booker’s memoir follows her, as she carves her own pioneering path, managing to rise to the top while leading the way for women in not only in the television industry, but in the broader community. Her inspirational journey provides a powerful example “to not settle for what the world says that he/she can do and instead show the world what is possible”.
