Guest experiences at Super 8 by Wyndham Orlando International Drive seem to vary, with the hotel's prime location receiving praise for its proximity to Universal Orlando and local attractions. However, service has been characterized by some as unresponsive and disorganized, and numerous guests have raised issues with the rooms, citing poor maintenance and cleanliness concerns. While cleanliness has been inconsistent, with particular mention of towel scarcity, amenities have also fallen short of expectations for many travelers. Additionally, the value proposition of the hotel has been questioned due to perceived misleading pricing and subpar conditions.

We have no problems in our stay. Have in mind that this is a budget hotel (low cost) you probably will see details of an old hotel . Our room 202 ,a regular clean wood floor, 2 queen bed we didn't see any bugs, bed sheets were clean (even though I used mine) . The only thing that I can complain on it is the bathroom, the toilet was loose (it moved) tub and door need paint ,that just required a little maintenance work. The breakfast has bread (with butter, apple jelly, grape jelly) Danish or muffin ,packet of minis waffle, apples , 2 types of cereal ,milk 2% ,whole milk ,yogurt, hot chocolate, orange juice and coffee .

Thank you for choosing our hotel and for taking time to review our property. I am glad to hear that you were overall satisfied with your stay. I have properly addressed your concerns with our maintenance team so we can fix these issues and prevent future occurrences. We are starting to renovate our property and one of our main focuses is the bathroom. We hope to get another opportunity to welcome you back to our hotel in the future.

We typically like to save our money for restaurants and attractions, and thought we would be ok here for a few nights since it's a Wyndham property. While we made it out alive, whatever franchise owner oversees this place could certainly make a lot of improvements. We literally left and found a Walmart where we could buy sandals that we could use in the shower, as it was so disgusting. The bedding was clean, but the sheets were like sandpaper, the pillows were small and square, and the beds were basically slabs of concrete. If you want to go cheap, just know what to expect.

This location needs serious updating. The beds are low due to no box spring, there were 2 TVs in the room but neither worked, the shower/tub enclosure was newer but the shower handle for the water did not work. If you have a choice, DON'T stay here.

1. No shuttle bus as mention in web page,
( In the agoda webpage, there was desciption of shuttle bus but when we arrive at hotel, the staff told us that no more shuttle bus, this was mentioned in their webpage too but in small remark).
2. Breakfast not provided,
Agoda charge me extra for the breakfast, when we try to claim back from hotel, they said it was mentioned in their webpage in small remark also, they cannot proceed with the refund. And we are not able to contact agoda for refund as well.

4. smelly room,
The room have a smelly odour, some people may be able to take it but i can't, i had to buy the air freshener from the walgreen nearby.

My wife and I checked into this hotel for a 2 night stay while we were on vacation. The location of the hotel was perfect since it's just up the street from Universal Orlando. I was excited to book originally since we got a good deal with my military discount, and the location was perfect since it was close to the bus stop. However, upon entering the lobby to check in I was immediately dissapointed. The lobby was cluttered with audit boxes and it made the receptionist desk look like a mess. There were people washing dishes in the sink located in the breakfast lounge and it made me question the sanitation of the breakfast area.

The receptionist seemed nice, and checked us in pretty quick. Once we got to our room we quickly found out that our two room cards didn't even work properly. We went back to the receptionist to get the cards reactivated. The cards were faded, and we were met by one of the housekeepers to double check the cards. Only one card worked and the other one didn't. The doors seemed really worn and the reader had trouble reading our working card.

When we entered into the room we found out that we were only given two towels, and there was a really passive aggressive sign saying that if you take anything that you would be fined a certain amount and that the hotel would add those charges to your stay. The lighting wasn't great and the furniture in the rooms were worn. The water pressure in the sink was like niagra falls.

Later on in the evening, my wife and I decided to check out the pool which is located in the parking lot. The gate didn't have a lock so we went straight in. There were several light which surrounded the pool deck area that were completely out, and the pool deck was stained and the furniture was cluttered around the pool. There was no padding on the deck chairs, and the water was cold. The pool had no lighting, and it looked as though it hadn't been cleaned for a while. I was about to stick my feet in the deep end, however I stopped myself once I saw the cockroaches and beetles in the water. Unfortunately since you're only given two towels you have to bring your own towels to use at the pool. They didn't have extras and the shower area or changing room in the pool deck area looked like a mess. There was a shower head right over a chair and the ground was really stained and had debri everywhere. We ended up going across the street and checked out the other pools which were clean, with nice organized pool decks, extra towes

The hotel is open and it has it's usual rate. It has a warning saying that some amenities may not be available because of the pandemic. But it still enlist all their normal ameniti: breakfast included, swimming pool, etc. This is wrong. They know and should tell you:
There is no breakfast
No room service.
There isn't enough personal
They don't clean the rooms. I stayed for 15 days. You could ask to be changed to a new room, but all the good ones are occupied or not clean. I asked for a new room after some days and they put me in one where the refrigerator wasn't working. The next one had an old and stained carpet and the A/C was old and noisy.
The bending machines are empty
The ice makers are not working
The laundry was closed
The pool was closed
The only things that worked were the phone, the internet and the TV, and I only saw one small roache.

I can understand the special circumstances but, why don't they tell you? Why do the have their regular rates? Why are they open if they don't have the capacity to offer a professional service?

Dear Eduardo, Thank you for taking the time to review our property. For the safety of our staff and guests, certain services and amenities are unavailable. It is written in the fine print on third party websites, such as Booking.com. Our front desk personnel are aware of informing our guests of these limited services, along with a sign at check-in. During this pandemic, we are not cleaning the rooms until check-out, but our guests are more than welcome to switch rooms during a long period stay. At this time, these are the best available rates as we have already made adjustments due to the reduced services, such as no daily breakfast. We hope in the future you will be able to enjoy all of our services and amenities. Regards, Super 8 Team

Cheap place to shower and sleep. Nice fridge and microwave. Pool is nice. It's not worth it. uncomfortable beds, no wash clothes, h20 all over bathroom floor, upside door handle, itchy blankets low toilet paper noise work man working on renovation at 7am. Forget partying it you want to sleep in. Close to city walk. Ihop at end of road was breakfast since never saw the free breadcrumbs breakfast. Shower faucet looked like it was going to break off being so wobbly. Cheap laundry soap on beds left us in a rash. No housekeeping ever checked to see if we needed something after staying 4 nights. 2 rolls of tissue (toilet) paper for 4 people for 3nights caused me to buy preparation H so my hole could feel better. Military toilet paper is better than this tissue paper

I booked 2 rooms 3 months in advance only to learn 1 week before my trip that they do not serve breakfast as listed on their website and my confirmation email clearly states breakfast, however the person at the front desk "Ardu" said they have not served breakfast for the past 2 years. I was told by Ardu to call Wyndham corporate to handle this matter. I called and the customer service person said since I booked the rooms a few months ago and now that it is nearing the date of my stay they cannot honor the same rates since rates go up and down. I told her when I called to make the reservation the first thing I inquired about what whether or not they served breakfast and as per my conversation with the reservation specialist at the time it was confirmed. She then told me that I would have to pay the new rates for another place that serves breakfast. I told her I would like to speak to a supervisor. She put me on hold for about 15 mins bear in mind I have been speaking to her for almost an hour at this point. When she came back on the phone she said that she has a supervisor on the line and she would transfer me, I said okay, then I was promptly disconnected. I called back again explained the same situation, this time I was told she will connect me to corporate customer service, again the call was cut. I called back a third time, once again I was told they would look into this and they would honor the rates they just had to get the supervisor to okay it and was put on hold, then disconnected. I called back a fourth time and told them they have the WORST customer service and level of dishonesty I have ever come across. I wish I could give 0 rating.

Not much to say without a way to send pictures. But let’s say we booked a room and with the mention of us having a Walker for my mother, apon arrival we switched to bottom floor because the room they had for us was upstairs and no elevator. So after getting new keys went to the room unloaded luggage went to tell the front desk about the water squirting through the floor when you walked, but couldn’t get out the door handle fell of in my hands so after 30 minutes I was able to get the door knob back on to get out and show the front desk the photos of what was going on. She did offer a different room but we were already unpacked Walker and scooter so we said we would just stay and wear sandals around the room so our socks stopped getting wet and I already fixed the door. Well we went to take baths and the shower was filthy with moldy grout so we didn’t shower just got in bed and pulled back the sheets to find the cracks in the wall behind the pillows had mold growing out the cracks in the wall. So we lined the cracks with towels sleep 4 hrs got up and left.

First, the door to the room gets stuck when trying to close it. There was so much rust around the door frame, peeing paint. Next, the furniture in the room looked like it had water damage because the bottom of every piece of furniture was damaged. There was no telephone in the room. After seeing that I left my towel and wash cloth home, I’m thinking I will use there’s. Nope, there were no towels/bath cloths either. The sink looked like it had cigarette ashes in it. And, the door to the bathroom did not properly close as well. My husband went to the front desk because we can’t call. About 20 minutes later, a young, Hispanic male comes with the telephone and towels. This was nice of him; however, he spoke no English. The curtains had stains on them. The only thing in this room acceptable were the hardwood floors. Thank goodness we travel with cleaning supplies!!! We literally had to Clorox and Lysol everything down. Believe me, if another hotel had a vacancy, we would have left that night. The next morning we found a vacancy at Westgate by Wyndham which was worth every penny. Please do not base your stay on the reviews like we mistakenly did. This hotel is rundown, dirty, strange people hanging out in the parking lot; just horrible. NEVER AGAIN!!!

It would help if in English-But my prior visit was terrible. It may state free breakfast, but they used COVID as cop out. The Wingate, and Baymont NEARBY at least had something. They both had shuttle to go Universal, which they, Super Eight again advertised on their website to draw you in. And if you budgeting, be sure to allow extra for hotel, as they billed me an extra night "hold/deposit" on my card.
