Sophomore: The school (Spring Valley Academy, Ohio) is wonderful. My education grows every year. I feel that the main issue would be that the school/staff/students can make students feel inferior if they receive so much as a B in a class. In other words, intelligence is highly praised, which is good and unfortunate. I am not certain of a solution to this, bu hopefully it gets resolved. Other than that, this has been a wonderful year. Junior: I love being at Temple Christian School. It has very good academics and very nice and helpful teachers. It's a nice environment and smaller classes which gives more time for teachers to fully explain things to students. I have been going to TCS since kindergarten and have never wanted to go anywhere else for school. Parent: Love DECA strong community and parent involvement. I would love to see a new building for the middle school I hate the they do NOT have a gym and the kids do have lockers the school is not big enough for the students and staff and activities. Parent: I have always loved Emerson they always strive for excellence. Dr. Brown is wonderful and has tried very hard to move Emerson Academy to a higher standard academically, so much improvement from previous years before he became principle. Dr. Brown has introduced new programs to the school and even improved Emerson's test scores. I have two children that attend one is a fifth grader and the other is a newbie (kindergarten). They both love their school and their wonderful teachers can't leave them out. The staff is very helpful, motivational, loving, positive and caring. My fifth grader is on the petite side about the size of my kindergartener and one thing that always bothered me about that is other children bullying him, but at Emerson he has never had that issue and I feel very confident that if that were to happen the teachers and the rest of the staff would respond appropriately and with urgency. What we love about St. Charles is the community and the dedication to education, the arts, sports, and faith. Parent: My sons have both attended St. Helen school. The administration and teachers are both caring and committed to the students. The class size allows for students to ask questions and received extra help when needed. The restorative discipline approach has made a huge difference in the environment of the school. My sons were very well prepared for the experience at Carroll High School and accredit the teachers at St. Helen to making sure they were ready for the rigors of the classes, many Advanced Placement. Both of my sons participated in sports and extra curricular clubs and enjoyed them very much. Friends they made while at St. Helen are still friends they have today.
