Josie Gibson has signed up for I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! 2023 and has spoken of her sadness at leaving her son.

The This Morning presenter has been pictured arriving in Australia, alongside her fellow campmates.

Gibson recorded a video message for This Morning to confirm she was taking part in the reality show – and she opened up about having to leave five-year-old Reggie.

"So the rumours are true, I am heading to the jungle," she said. "I’ve just arrived at Heathrow Airport now. I have said an emotional goodbye to Reggie, and I keep thinking to myself, 'What have I done? What have I signed up for?' I’m just hoping that I’m a survivor."

Earlier this year, the Big Brother star said she was happy to be single, following the breakdown of her relationship, as it allowed her to focus on her son.

In her video message, the presenter talked of her fears ahead of joining the show, an extensive list that might not bode well for her jungle experience.

"Thank you for all your support," she said. "I just hope I get through this because I cannot stand creepy crawlies, I don’t like heights, I don’t like rats and I don’t like snakes. So wish me luck!"

The presenter might have fun stories to share on the show, however, as she recently revealed an embarrassing tattoo blunder from a holiday in Thailand.

Other stars heading Down Under include YouTuber and Catfish UK presenter Nella Rose, who will be the youngest contestant on the show this series.

This year’s I’m A Celeb trailer, starring hosts Ant and Dec, teased a 'Jungle Retreat' theme, a relaxing setting where all is not what it seems.

I'm a Celebrity… returns on ITV1 and ITVX on Sunday November 19 at 9pm.
