Introduction

Bachelor of Commerce is a 3-year full time degree program. The Bachelor degree is affiliated to University of Mumbai. A number of subjects can be studied under disciplines of Commerce in conjugation like; accountancy, economics, mathematics, business, finance etc. Commerce offers foundation for many professional careers like Finance, Planning, Accountancy, Tax Practitioners, Banking and Broking etc., besides academics, research, and many more. Commerce as a stream of study after Class 12 is best suited for individuals having flair for accounting, finance, commodities, marketing and trading.

Admission

Admission to the course offered by the rules framed by the University of Mumbai from time to time and will be given at the commencement of the first semester. Candidates seeking admission other than Maharashtra board and colleges affiliated other than University of Mumbai must produce a Transfer Certificate from the board/college last attended.

Programme Outcome

The Programme provides a comprehensive broad based understanding of the burgeoning world of Commerce, Accountancy and Management. It also gives a purview of business Law; hones communication skills; enhances general knowledge, IT, mathematical and statistical skills, besides generating an eco- consciousness. The Programme prepares young learners to pursue professional Programmes such as CA, CMA and CS and readies them for employability

Scheme of Examination

The Scheme of the Examination shall be divided in two parts:

1. Internal Assessment (25 Marks)

The allocation of 25 marks shall be on the following basis:

a) One class tests of 20 marks to be held in the given semester.

b) 5 marks for Class Participation and Attendance.

2. Semester End Examination (75 Marks)

 This examination shall be of 2½ hours.
