I mean, the Chophouse is a great place to eat at, but today was a very very bad experience for me. I ordered the lunch special bacon, blue burger with. I didn’t know it came with mushrooms. I don’t eat mushrooms. I had the bacon taken off, but I didn’t know they didn’t cook it done, it’s pink the inside I don’t eat pink meat so the manager said he’s going to mail me out the gift card. We’ll see if he does and I’ll let y’all know but I probably won’t get one.

You’ll have a wonderful, tasty time but steer clear of the snarky barmaid at lunch

I love this restaurant and go frequently for lunch. Everything I've tried on the menu has been superb; favorites are the Prime Rib, Tenderloin Caesar and Baked Schrod. All of the servers who have waited on us in the main dining area have been friendly and attentive. We come in frequently and are well-known by the staff and always welcomed warmly. That is not the case, unfortunately, in the bar area. The barmaid/server on has major bad mojo—very icy indeed! She's been there forever is there usually on the bar side at lunch. This is too bad too, because Chop House has very nice outdoor seating however the bar servers wait on the patio and we almost always end up getting her :( We've started to go elsewhere on pretty days when we want to sit outside. That said, the nasty server in the bar is in stark contrast to the rest of the restaurant which is thoroughly pleasant and the food is delicious. My advice to management would be to retrain this server and help her understand the importance of providing good service to ALL customers.

Not a friendly place

This spot ruined our vacation by having to listen to the bartender berate me for ordering a long island iced tea, then the manager hid around the corner instead of offering the meal on the house. It will be a cold day in you know where before I would go to this restaurant again or recommend to anyone. Still waiting for my refund...

Not Impressed, Not a Safe Place For Me To Eat, Not Coming Back.

**Anyone with celiac disease or any true food allergy/sensitivity needs to give this place a miss.** I ordered the Sweet Corn Tamale Cakes as an appetizer and the Grilled Salmon Caesar Salad for my entree. The server couldn’t tell me if the appetizer was spicy and even though we asked for it to be served before the entrées it arrived a scant five minutes beforehand, and after we had waited almost twenty minutes. I will say the salmon was cooked perfectly and the plating was nice. But that pleasure was diminished by poor service and an overly long wait in a crowded, noisy environment. More importantly: I have celiac disease. The gluten free menu has a large disclaimer at the top that basically says we can’t be bothered to train our staff in allergen protocols, we don’t care about trying to provide a safe dining experience and whatever happens is on you. If I had been there alone, I would have left. The gf menu was lacking descriptions and prices, and the hostess didn’t feel it necessary to provide me with a standard menu for cross-checking costs and details. As previously noted, the server had no clue what was or was not in the dishes. She also appeared not to understand why I wouldn’t want croutons on my salad, even though I clearly stated I had celiac disease. I don’t mind explaining to a waitress at a hash house what gluten is and what foods it is present in, but an expensive eatery with pretensions to fine dining should have waitstaff that understands what they are serving. I won’t return here, and as I said at the start I strongly recommend anyone with a food sensitivity, allergy, or autoimmune disorder like celiac disease not eat here.

The perfect dining experience

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express next door and decided to try this place out for dinner. The facilities were wonderful, very warm and inviting. We had made reservations but even though we were early we were seated immediately. Our booth was very cozy and even though there are other tables and booths around it was very quiet and relaxing. The music was a mix of light jazz and set the perfect atmosphere. Our server was prompt and friendly took our order and was very quick with our drinks and then our salads. The main dish for both of us was prime rib, cooked to perfection. Along with a baked potato. The selections of au jus and horseradish were a great compliment to the meat. The portions were just the right size and we both left entirely satisfied.

VERY DISSAPOINTED

Go here several times a year for special occasions but that's not happening again. Made reservations with friends and noted the special occasion on the info. I ordered prime rib sandwich - medium well. It came out medium. Had to flag the waitress to finish cooking. Brought back after a bit cooked correctly. Rest of our party was just finishing up. To my astonishment, waitress reached over top of me while I was putting food in my mouth and handed husband the check. Really? How rude and no one had asked for our check. In fact, we had a cake for the anniversary and had to ask for a knife to cut it. She did not even offer a clean fork so we scrambled to keep the one we had used. Really folks - this isn't White Castle but would have probably been treated better there!

Disappointing night!

Beautiful facility, exquisite service, disappointing food! T-Bone steak ordered medium rare, served medium well, sorry excuse for onion rings again disappointing, wife ordered a 7oz ribeye again medium rare, not even sure what she was served, flat, skinny, well done and tough marginally edible piece of some kind of meat, absolutely embarrassing! There with a crowd, did not protest, paid our bill, but very disappointed in this offering. No complaints with service, or hospitality and a beautiful facility, but someone better get the kitchen straightened out!

Wonderful Dining Experience!

Everything about our dining experience on 8-11-2022 was wonderful. We ordered Collosel Onion Rings, the House salad, 16 ounces of Prime Rib medium rare, and loaded baked potatoes. Everything was served at the proper temperature and everything was the standard by which other restaurants should be measured. Our server, Chuck, had perfect timing in serving and checking on us while we ate. (I wanted to take a photo when the main course was delivered But I remembered to take it after I was half done eating it. Too yummy!)

Lackluster hospitality

We had reservations for a party of 3. The hostess seated us and we waited for 15 minutes without so much as a greeting from any of the staff. Meanwhile, the waitress for several other tables continued serving. Then they seated someone in the table next to us and another waitress came and promptly took their order. No one had acknowledged us. We got up to leave and the hostess stated, “oh we knew there was no one assigned to your table. We were trying to work on getting someone there.” How about you seat us where there are servers or don’t sit someone next to us when we still haven’t had our orders taken. There are plenty of other steakhouses in the area. We took our business across the street and had a wonderful meal. You will not be seeing us in this establishment anymore. Unacceptable.
