What travelers are saying
- Trail665146776433 contributionsExcellent museum. We stayed 3 hours and still did not see everything. Tied together a lot of what we saw in Boston, Providence and Newport (plus a ton of other art and history information in addition).Written May 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Shirley N5 contributionsA brilliant attraction, and interactive, and the café had plenty of room, lots to see and hear about the history of the Boston Tea PartyWritten March 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CHKVClifton Park, NY63 contributionsThere is so much to see on JFk & Jackie. Interesting exhibit on the 1960 debates and election. A must do for any JFK or Jackie buffs. We spent about 3 hours there.Written May 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Tyrell FChicago, Illinois, United States186 contributionsThis is not our first time to the ISG museum, but I haven’t reviewed it previously. You must get your tickets before going in order to ensure entry (they sell out quite often). Once you’re inside, the best thing to do is just wander, allowing yourself the freedom to enjoy the random placement of works from the old world masters. Plan to spend about 2 hours here!Written May 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- James HCamp Hill, PA73 contributionsVisited here for the first time while on vacation and was not disappointed! The curators have done an amazing job detailing the history of how the USS Constitution came to be and the sailors' lives aboard the ship through fun, engaging, and interactive exhibits. Admission is by suggested donation (for two adults, we gave twenty dollars). The museum (and the separate USS Constitution ship) is a stop on Boston's Freedom Trail. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.Written May 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Barry SGreater London, UK12 contributionsSo poignant and utterly sad, reading the truthful words of those horrifically impacted by the murderous Nazis.
The respect shown by the City of Boston, is evident and the arrangment of this memorial, was quite unique and yet, so hard-hitting.
So worthy of seeing and to read the comments.Written August 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The museum is nothing short of enthralling. There are so many different things to see every time we go. It is always extremely clean. The staff is always friendly and knowledgable. Thank you for so many years of great information!Written May 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- abroadwithashleyMinneapolis, MN1,724 contributionsAfter our tour of Fenway Park, this was the coolest thing we did in Boston. The tour isn't long, but it's only $6. We've traveled all around the world and never seen something like this. The globe is incredible and it's fascinating to see all the ways the world has changed since 1935. Plus the old no photos rule has recently changed, which meant after the show I was able to take photos to my heart's content! Incredible.Written April 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- hoben57Houston, TX87 contributionsWe stopped in as part of the Freedom Trail and self toured the museum. The docents were friendly and informative. The museum displays were very good. There were a number of artifacts which were interesting to see. A good spot on the Trail.Written May 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tom OShenandoah Valley60 contributionsExcellent children's museum. Lots of activities for children from toddlers to preteen. Be prepared for child to get wet at some activities - bring spare outfit for small child! Only complaint - The bubble room floor is slippery.Written May 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - cannonaterSalt Lake City, UT1,424 contributionsIt’s like going back in time, you really get to experience a first hand look at what it was like to be in the printing industry back than. - hoben57Houston, TX87 contributionsIt was interesting to see Paul Revere's house although we did not go in. It's worthwhile to see as part of the Freedom Trail. After a long walk along the Trail, this was our last stop. We sat on the wall, took some pics, and then headed to Strega for a late lunch. It's certainly a lot better to see than the Corner Book Store.Written May 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RayGCincinnati_OHCincinnati, OH270 contributionsThe King's Chapel (as in King James II) was founded in 1686. The current building stands on the same site as the original and was constructed in 1754. After the Revolution it became the first Unitarian Church in America. The interior is a fine example of Georgian architecture. The belfry holds an 1816 Paul Revere bell that still rings today. This place is great - take the tour!Written April 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- JoDa10York, UK56 contributionsAfter visiting Cheers (!), which was a life long ambition of my husband’s we booked a tour of Gibson House which is 200 yards further down the road. If you are into your architecture and history it is well worth a visit. Tickets are less than $15 each and our guide was personable and very knowledgeable (Candice). The house itself is a treasure trove of insights into how the middle class of the late 18th century (1860’s) used to live, and the tour brings this to life. The house itself is original and has been maintained extremely well keeping its character and original furniture and decor from the early 1900’s. You learn much about the Gibson family and also Boston. The tour takes about 45 minutes and as it is limited to 8 people you get plenty of opportunities to take photos and quiz the guide.
If you do go to Cheers while close by, the bar downstairs leads up to the filming set and is free to visit, well worth a visit also.Written May 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
