We had a one night stay here and it met our needs perfectly! Spacious room, hot shower, comfy bed, parking and good wifi. Check-in was easy, and we had no issues at all. The shower was super powerful though, so don’t leave anything in the bathroom that you don’t want to get wet!

We booked this due to online reviews but were not real impressed. The bed was comfortable but the room smelled of smoke (there was a large ashtray just outside our door and a constant gathering of "smokers") so we kept the (noisy) a/c on in an attempt to clear the smell. The room was clean - except for a bar of "used" soap in the shower - however the furnishings and bedspread could all use updating. We never used the microwave and the refrigerator is behind a cabinet door (that should have been hinged on the opposite side) making it awkward to open. We did see some "silverfish" on the floor as were as we were packing to come home ... Don't think we'll be returning ...

I am giving it 2 out of 5 because the bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the shower was good. However it was on a very busy road, which made it difficult to sleep. The room smelled strongly of a disinfectant cleaning solution when we arrived. It was difficult to ventilate the room, especially since the fan in the bathroom was not working. The TV was not working either. I tried to alert the staff to these problems and get them fixed, but nobody ever answered the bell in reception. I booked the hotel based on the Trip Advisor reviews, but found i did not agree with them. I was surprised it got such a good rating, especially for being "reasonably priced." I did not think it was reasonably priced at $150 a night, but maybe Monterey is very overpriced now.

booked a 1 room with 2 beds for 4 people a week in advance on their home website. showed up and was told they were out of 1 room 2 bed, so they sent me to sister hotel and said it was closer to everything so i went. When I got there it was actually 15 minutes further away from where we just were. So i called and said that this was unacceptable and request for 2 rooms if they didn't have our 1 room. was told "OK, and there wont be any extra charge". So we went back and then I was told that she never said that to me but they now magically had our 1 room 2 bed free. So we took it and the room was terrible, the smoke detector kept beeping and the beds were not queen size like the website said. Overall this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Motel 6 is better by far.

Really Good hotel, rooms were well newly furnished and clean. Amenities were very good & new. Checkin was quick. Staff were friendly and courteous. Parking is free & Ample space ! Has a HUGE mall close by (lots option for shopping & food). Gas station close too. Close to Carmel-by-the-sea. Well priced and we had a good stay over. Highly recommend.

My husband stayed here one night. The room was spacious, clean, and nice with free parking, a refrigerator, coffee maker, and wifi. For the money in this expensive market, it was a very good value. The hotel staff was not friendly. We arrived around 8 p.m., and we had to ring the bell and wait forever to be helped. They acted like they were bothered by us, and it was the same routine for morning checkout. We had some questions about the area, but they had no time. We just were not impressed by their hurried attitude. We also thought that the hotel could have offered some sort of simple breakfast as we have seen at other value hotels like it (cereal, muffins, or toast), but it didn't, somwe planned ahead as a result. Overall, the room was a nice enough, but we just weren't impressed with the hospitality.

Cheap motel, nothing else.
The room stinked of pesticides and was not very tempting.
It stated breakfast included, which was untrue...
It is located close to a busy road, so the pace is quite noisy as well...
Avoid this motel if you have another choice.

Got this room last minute via Hotwire to come down a day earlier than planned for the ATT Pebble Beach Pro-Am. I think the only pleasant thing I can say is the location is convenient ... near Hwy 1 and Del Monte Center.

The bed was clearly in need of replacement ... the floors are so gross ... cold ugly fake wood/linoleum. Bathroom is tiny ... table and chairs do not fit in room. There are no lamps they put in some goofy overhead lights.

Fortunately, by the time we had dinner it was time for sleep and got up at 5:30am to head out to Pebble Beach ... so we spent so little time here as possible.

I think this motel was taken over by some new owners as the last time I got it on Hotwire it was a lot better. It should be a 1* on Hotwire - not 2*.

We decided to give this place a try after reading mixed reviews. First off this place is tiny, cramped, and uncomfortable. Our fridge didn't work for the first day, actually still waiting for them to fix or replace. It is a difficult task to get into the bathroom as the door barley clears the toilet, I bumped my shin twice. The coffee is horrible and not available until the inn keeper wakes up so don't expect a cup if ur an early riser. And to think we paid 450 for two nights. Will never stay here again

Safe. 5 minutes to beach. Better beaches with parking, portapotties, good sand, and fewer people extend to Sand City. Find a website that offers sub $45 weekday rates.
