Urban Room? What is the difference between the Urban room and the other rooms? What is the sq footage of the Urban room as I have one booked? Thanks.

I think its just a marketing gimmick. I think the Urban Room is a standard guest room. That room worked fine for 2 of us as we didn't spend a lot of time in it other than sleeping. It was not too small. Plenty of room for two to move around, even had a couch, which I think was a sofa bed. If you have small children, I think you could fit up to 2, no problem. Hope that helps

I'm not sure of the sq footage, we were on the 17th floor, there was little street noise. The room was a good size, 2 x standard double beds, enough room for what we needed for 2 adults and 2 children. Hope this helps.

Not sure what the Urban room is. There is a difference in room quality and soundproofing we noticed after moving up from lower level room which was noisy and needed updating.

Yes I agree, I think the rooms are all the same size, unless you go for a suite. When we were looking at room choices I was looking at the sq footage and they were all the same. I preferred a room on a higher floor because it was quieter and you don’t get the street noise, but that’s just a personal choice. If you’re not bothered about views stick with an urban room, you won’t lose out on space

I think the Urban rooms are lower floors, while City View and Skyline rooms are mid and high floors for better views. For me, I don’t spend much time looking out the windows.

I don't know the answer, however, we prefer staying on the higher floors to avoid some of the sounds of traffic and construction always going on in New York. You could call the hotel directly, if no one on Trip Advisor can answer.
