My daughter is using to much money on pay as you go so can I get a sim card with no data but unlimited texts and maybe unlimited calls. If I've go to get a sim with data what happens if you use all the data as I don't want to be charged extra.

Depends on provider, some just cut it dead others will start charging
You can set limits to data but these can be over ridden, maybe by your DD

Maybe something like Voxi would suit her better?

Find out what she is spending the PAYG on. Until you know that, you won't know what plan is suitable.

If all the data allowance is used on PAYG it will stop when the money runs out.

If you are on about getting a contract SIM, then the provider will stop internet access, allow internet access but stop when a certain amount is spent (£ spend can be capped) or the data keeps getting used and the bill rises to an astronomical amount.

With a smartphone they use data just having them switched on and having things (apps) running in the background.
Allowing emails or other push notifications pop up when received uses data, instead of having that disabled and switched on when required.
Watching videos on YouTube or other sites uses more data.
The likes of Facebook and constantly flicking through uses a lot of data.
Watching live streaming eg films etc will eat her data.

If she is at home, does she not connect to the home WiFi, or is it while she is out and about?

I've just switched from a contract to SIM only contract (£10pm), there are unlimited data packages, but your daughter needs to take some responsibility for what she is using her phone for and the overall cost of her actions.

She was using all the money on calls and texts while at school. I was thinking of getting a 1 month sim contract but she don't need data as the phone is only for emergencies while at school.  I need a contract that you cannot go over the limit of £0

Get her a pay as you go bundle. Because it's not a contract when the bundle is used up chargeable stuff will just not work.

    Get one of these https://smarty.co.uk/plans/1gb-data
£6 per month, unlimited call, texts, and 1GB of data - when the data runs out it stops the data part working - however if you do need data for some reason, you can top up that part. If for some reason no data is used, then you get I think £1 back the following month.
It runs on the Three network

Would you know if smarty is the only network that's capped each month.

Perhaps she could do with a bit of training on how to not to squander it all away. Only pay for a month at a time and if she runs out, part way through then she'll have to wait until next month before she can get back on line or to make calls or texts.

Whilst you keep topping it up she'll keep using it. My granddaughter has a monthly limit, which once used doesn't get re-instated until next month (it didn't take her ever so long to learn to be a bit more frugal and make it last a month without all the trivia). She also has to give her phone to her Mum (who pays the bill) every evening at 8:00pm so she cant take it to bed and stay up all night texting and faffing.
Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers

Its not the only one, but I think its the cheapest one overall - Smarty is one of those providers that is a sub brand of the main brand, so you're theoretically getting exactly the same (underlying) service.

From what I can tell Voxi (vodafone) is at least £10, although it does include "endless social media"

In the past I've rung the mobile company up and asked them to disable data on the account. That was with Virgin Mobile, but all mobile phone companies should be able to do it. You can also set data limits on the phone, if your daughter can be trusted not to fiddle with the limits.
