I came for my orientation and everyone was very welcoming and helpful. I can’t wait to start my journey as a Rocket in the fall!
My first year of college was really fun and I enjoyed it a lot. I accomplished many things and got out of my comfort zone. I loved that the school was not too big and that you can walk around feeling safe. I think for changes I would like to see more flowers around campus and more people making sure cars do not get broken in to or parts stolen from them.
The University of Toledo has been instrumental in helping me pursue my dreams, despite occasional communication challenges. While there have been instances of communication lapses, the university's overall support and resources have played a crucial role in my academic journey. The faculty and staff are dedicated to student success, offering valuable guidance and mentorship. Additionally, the university provides ample opportunities for personal and professional growth through various programs and initiatives. Despite its imperfections, the University of Toledo remains a valuable institution that continues to assist me in achieving my goals.
I enjoyed the University of Toledo and think the campus is beautiful, which contributes to the enjoyment. I enjoyed all of my professors but know this is hit or miss for students. The campus provides many free academic resources like the LEC and the helpful writing center.
Overall I love the University of Toledo. In my opinion you get out what you put in. By going out of your way to join clubs and attend event you will not only meet new people but you also have the opportunity to make new connections!
I've been on UT campus since freshman year in high school due to a scholarship program I was in. I am very well versed in campus life and knowing where everything is (resources). I have a lot of support from faculty and staff so I really love that. If I would've went to a bigger school, I probably would not have this village to be there for me. Just make sure you use rate my professor to not get stuff with bad teachers. Otherwise this is a great school.
I spent my four years of undergrad at the University of Toledo and will be returning for my graduate degree. All in all, I had a good time. However, if it weren’t for FSL, there would not have been near as much to do. Most classes were well structured, but there were far too many professors I could not understand. However, most of these individuals understood the situation and posted ample amounts of material online to help with the learning. Additionally, given it isn’t in the best location, the university does a great job keeping it sectioned off from the outside area. As far as changes, I would like to see the university do more/host more events for its students. It relies primarily on FSL, and with the direction that is moving, the university should do more.
My name is Cheyenne Clifton, and I have attended the University of Toledo for both my undergrad and graduate programs. I really enjoy the beautiful campus and all of the opportunities we are provided with to enjoy the local nature. I think more staff appreciation days/events would be very beneficial for the morale and determination of our professors and all staff members. As students, our success is largely due to those who provide us education and services on campus; that being said, it is crucial that there are efforts to make the University’s staff members feel happy and appreciated. I also think continuing to honor and recognize the culture and diversity of others’ is essential for student and staff growth. By understanding and finding value in the characteristics that make us different, we are able to improve our own sense of bias and help advocate for inclusivity. Additionally, it can improve the students' sense of belonging, confidence, and relationships with others.
I love that there are a lot of educational opportunities. I would like to see more events that can bring people together.
I enjoy going to the University of Toledo because the people are nice and it will help me .get a job in the future. I don't want any changes.
The advisors are very helpful, and the academic curriculum is very easy and the syllabus is easy to follow along. most of the class will be reached on blackboard, but it’s quite easy to use. i like the layout on blackboard in order to see what’s due and when.
For the brief time that I have been here at UT. Overall, has been very nice and but the campus life when it comes to the food is terrible. Being served raw food and finding items in my food are unacceptable?
I loved my experience at the University of Toledo. I had excellent professors with real-world experience who cared about me and my career. Campus is beautiful to walk and there is always something to do. I was able to find a job in my chosen career field 6 months before I graduated. I recommend anyone looking for a university with a friendly atmosphere and professional staff not overlook the University of Toledo!
I like the small environment. Being able to see people I know daily and hang out with them. There's also tons of events to do when you're bored. You can't really say "there's nothing to do" when all you have to do is just walk around or ask people what events are going on. I've made great friends here as well. A very diverse and silly group that indulges in studies and building our careers. Most would say Toledo isn't much to look at but that's because you haven't looked hard enough. I believe that the University of Toledo has a lot to offer and cares for its students. Though there should be changes with budgeting and more support for students who are financially handicapped. And more conjoining events for different cultural and ethnic backgrounds. There's been a bit of separation here and there. The goal should be to unite and help each other to become the best versions of ourselves, not just focus on the actions of those before us. All in all, GO ROCKETSSS!!!!!!!
It's a lovely, simple university. Its student body may not be as large as that of many other public colleges, but it still has a very diverse student body, which is fantastic. I have a long way to go in my college career because I am still a freshman.
My overall experience with The University of Toledo, wasn't the best. But, it wasn't bad either. I loved how inclusive they are with campus activities, the sports, everything was extremely inclusive. My one and only downfall was the professors, I think maybe I just had some bad luck with them. The only thing I would like to see change is the way professors teach in the class room. The professors that I've had have just given us slides to write down, they'll read it word for word and give no explanation.
Great experience so far. The professors are really helpful with making sure you understand the content of the course. Refers you to assistance including tutoring centers and have their own office hours to assist the academic needs of students.
