Bella Mackie, 31, is a freelance journalist from London who’s previously written for VICE and The Guardian. She left Vice in 2017 to focus on writing a book about running and mental health.
Her father is the journalist Alan Rusbridger who was the editor-in-chief of The Guardian from 1995-2015 – Bella chose the name Mackie to distinguish herself from her family name.
Greg and Bella got engaged in 2018 – with Bella popping the question – and married in September 2018.
‘This is Bella and in February she asked me to marry her,’ the 36-year-old said at the time.
‘I said yes immediately because she is the smartest, funniest and most beautiful person I’ve ever met…’
Greg announced the happy news the pair had married on social media that same month.
Sharing pictures of their big day on social media, Greg captioned the snaps: ‘Bella and I got married and it was the most incredible day of my life.I think it was up there for her too.’
