In this film based on the comic book character, Howard the Duck is suddenly beamed from Duckworld, a planet of intelligent ducks with arms and legs, to Earth, where he lands in Cleveland. There he saves rocker Beverly (Lea Thompson) from thugs and forms a friendship with her. She introduces him to Phil (Tim Robbins), who works at a lab with scientist Dr. Jenning (Jeffrey Jones). When the doctor attempts to return Howard to his world, Jenning instead transfers an evil spirit into his own body.

You know what? "Howard the Duck" is like that quirky, retro t-shirt you find at a thrift store. Sure, the critics weren't fans, but this flick has soared into the realm of 80s cult classics. It's like a time capsule for me. Have you ever rewatched old movies and they just don't hit the same? "Howard the Duck" isn't one of those. It's a total blast from the past that keeps its charm. It's goofy, sure, and maybe a bit silly, but it's got this undeniable charm that makes it a must-watch. It's like a no-brainer, chill-out kind of movie from the 80s. The comic book version of Howard is this hidden gem in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His comics? Pure satire gold, poking fun at the craziness of our world. I'm crossing my fingers that Marvel brings back our feathered friend for more adventures. Who knows what they could cook up with him?
