I really did enjoy the connections I made with in the school no matter if its other students or my teachers. My teachers didn't just teach what they had to, but they always produced more and helped me with my future especially going into college. One of the worst parts is honestly student involvement, kids don't get involved in hardly anything.
I loved going to Del Campo High School. This was a place where I was accepted and able to spread my wings and really figure out who I was as a person. I had amazing connections with all my teachers and they were there to help me with any issues I may have had. I wouldnt change it for the world.
Del Campo is a good high school with good opportunities for (almost everyone). The main goal of High School is to get prepared for college and it has lots of resources. You are able to get ahead and find out your next steps. We have amazing sports programs, but I would say we are lacking in music. We have a diverse arrangement of clubs such as school community clubs, community service clubs, cultural clubs and special interests' clubs. Overall, my experience was positive. The best part was obtaining important life and leadership skills through clubs and extracurriculars. Students here even have the option of being a part of a real functioning student ran business. I would like to see better bathrooms and better food options.
Del Campo High School was a pivotal chapter in my life. I transferred there after the COVID shutdown during my sophomore year, encountering contrasting experiences that shaped my perspective. Representing the school on the soccer field gave me unforgettable memories, taught me valuable teamwork lessons, and fostered a sense of camaraderie beyond the game. In contrast, softball brought disappointment, stress, and frustration due to lack of support, jealousy among players, and favoritism. Despite these challenges, I thrived in extracurriculars like Kids Helping Kids Sacramento, #1 top student-run nonprofit in the world. We support at-risk youth's college transition and aid families battling childhood cancer. Globally, we assist Nicaraguan children and combat human trafficking in India. At Del Campo, I found support in friendships and mentors, navigating high school complexities and emerging stronger. I feel like Del Campo really helped prepare me for my next chapter of my life.
Del Campo Highschool made me want to become an extrovert because of the many different types of people you can be friends with and all of the unique classes, clubs! Some teachers too make you feel learning is your super skill and you are understood.
As a high school sophomore, my experience at Del Campo High School has been pretty good. At this school I feel like I have teachers and staff who support me and my academic career.
Del Campo is a good campus for the readiness for students who are planning to attend college and a good education
Overall, I had a great experience here, but I think there should either be better counselors or they need to put in more effort. Sometimes, my counselor would either ignore my emails or never even see them. It would also be nice to see more students get involved on campus and actually want to be there.
Mrs. Kate our college and career counselor has helped me the most with being ready for college and overall life. A lot of these teachers though have obvious mental health issues and it affects us. I would like the benches in the lunchroom back.
Disgusting. I hate it. The kids and staff are very rude. We're all miserable and nobody wants to be here. Shut it down forever.
The school is very sport and spirit influenced. No matter if you play a sport or are in a club you feel like you are apart of the schools culture. Majority of the teachers want to see you succeed. You have plenty of support on that campus no matter what situation. I felt like that school genuinely cared about my well being but they could help out more on the mental health side for the students that attend that school. The work isn’t a heavy work load unless you make it heavy. You have plenty of options to choose from at that campus. Even my friends had classes or programs help them figure out what they wanted to do after high school. I’m glad I went to del campo and get from there.
My experience at Del Campo has been nothing too significant. Many people at this school stick to their clicks and often do not open up to others. The teachers at this school are great but do not do more than asked which creates an environment that doesn't push us students.
Del campo is a good school for those of all interests. They have many courses that you can take ranging for the normal english math science history. But also so many electives like; art, ceramics, movie history, film and literature, and so many more. I love watching the sports games and the classes have normal or AP if you like something more challenging. They have a wide range of students and let students ecoress themselves in so many ways. With many school activities and friendly competitions really making the high school experience memorable.
I enjoy that my High School is very diverse and inclusive. I do wish there was a better culture around our campus regarding behavior and school unity, but other than that, it was any ordinary High School experience, and as a good kid who stayed out of drama, I enjoyed my personal experience.
Two ways Del Campo high school is different is Halls and Sports A Rama. Every year at homecoming we decorate our hallways instead of floats. I love this aspect of Del Campo because it creates community and anyone can be a part of it. The second event that is specific to Del Campo is Sports A Rama. It is a big competition between all four grades. We create a stomp, skit and practice them for two weeks before the event. Each grade has a team of about fifty kids and we get graded at the event on our, skit, stomp, athletic events and crowd spirit. I love of it because you feel really close to your peers in that moment. Both of these events are done at other schools I am sure, but I wholeheartedly believe no one does it quite like Del Campo, with our over the top decorations, such as bleacher posters, behind the bleacher posters and giant balloon arches.
I went to Del Campo for all 4 years. The school is cursed with frequent fire alarms and fights. Though I can say there is a lot of academic, cultural, and financial diversity in students and entertaining events that the students participate in holding.
I love my school. I'm a high school senior and I went to Del Campo for all 4 years of my high school experience. I've befriended every teacher I've had; they're all extremely understanding and polite. I was absolutely terrified before I entered high school, but Del Campo made me feel so welcome and excited to become a high schooler. Lunches are so good; they have Chinese food, pizza, burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads, club sandwiches, etc. Going to Del Campo entails excitement, as the rallies and school spirit is amazing. There have been moments I disliked it, but it's like finding a bad apple on an apple tree, you can't give up on it because of one situation.
