I’ve been feeling rather uninspired by my lists lately, so this is the perfect bandwagon for me to participate in.
Below are my shortlists, and if you could pick out your favorite from each, that would be amazing. I’d also love to hear the reasoning behind your choices, if you have any, but of course that isn’t necessary!
[name_f]Beautiful[/name_f] names, [name_m]Theo[/name_m]! So hard to pick, but I’m gonna go with [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] - they just feel so authentically you!
[name_f]Cornelia[/name_f] – so underrated! I love the nn [name_f]Nell[/name_f] and its international appeal. It’s like a more grounded [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f].
[name_m]Jonah[/name_m] – gentle with a great meaning. I also like the Biblical story
[name_f]Claramae[/name_f] → [name_f]Clara[/name_f] is beautiful and [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is so charming and bright, and together, they have this musical, vintage, playful and joyous vibe - it feels at once cosy and breezy.
Shout out to [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] too
[name_m]Rowan[/name_m] → warm, earthy and lovely, grounded but with plenty of whimsy too.

I’m picking her because I think she’s really under-appreciated and I just adore her. She has a sharp, bouncy, quirky sound and I love the vintage vibes and the meaning- [name_f]Verity[/name_f] reminds me of old black and white movies and 50s hairdos, sleek, elegant, stylish, but also perfect for a talkative, curious little girl. (I also really love [name_f]Claramae[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], and [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] though, and on another day I might have picked one of them.)
[name_m]Asher[/name_m]
[name_m]Asher[/name_m] is the epitome of a warm, comforting, lovable name for me. I get lovely tones of brown like wool and tree bark so he reminds me of autumn; wood fires, hot chocolate, forest walks, soft puppy ears…So cuddly and cozy! Plus, I know the sweetest [name_m]Asher[/name_m] who has curly brown hair and the longest eyelashes- he loves cooking and playing soccer- and he just makes me love the name! (By the way, his brother is Ezra!) Second place goes to [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] and [name_f]Sage[/name_f]!

[name_f]Claramae[/name_f] - although just plain [name_f]Clara[/name_f] is the love of my life, the [name_f]Mae[/name_f] adds such an adorable whimsical cottagecore vibe! [name_m]Rowan[/name_m] - such a sweet strong elegant name! A close friend (female) is named [name_m]Rowan[/name_m] so this name for either has a special place in my heart…
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] – I’ve always thought this was such a lovely name. It’s elegant yet short and grounded, formal but friendly, and sweet but solid. I love that it fits any personality, it’s very versatile: she could be the down-to-earth girl next door or a royal princess. It also has such cute nickname options, I love [name_f]Lu[/name_f] and [name_f]Lulu[/name_f]. And the ‘light’ meaning is lovely. [name_f]Every[/name_f] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] I’ve known has been so sweet and friendly and I feel like the name embodies this.
[name_m]Ezra[/name_m] – It was a close call between [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] and [name_m]Levi[/name_m] for me. But I love Ezra’s gentle sound and the calm, nature-y vibes it has.
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Willow[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is a classic timeless name that just works, but it’s too popular. I love [name_f]Willow[/name_f] I think it’s beautiful.
[name_m]Ezra[/name_m] and [name_m]Jonah[/name_m], I really like [name_m]Ezra[/name_m], it’s short and funky but can also be seen as professional. Biased with [name_m]Jonah[/name_m] as we have used it.
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] - i discovered this name a few years ago and i love it, i love the nicknames for it as well
[name_m]Levi[/name_m] - it’s short and cute, i just think it’s neat

[name_f]Claramae[/name_f] ~ This is so stunning! I love a good smush name and both [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Mae[/name_f] are lovely, and so amazing together. I love the combined meaning of “bright pearl” and the vintage, storybook feel.
[name_f]Haven[/name_f] ~ [name_f]Haven[/name_f] on a boy has been growing on me so much lately! The meaning of a peacefully and safe place is such a lovely gift to bestow on a child. I love how I can picture him so easily both on a smiley little boy and a wise old man!
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] – This has been a favorite of mine for so long I adore this name so much! She is so elegant and I love how many different nicknames she can have!
[name_m]Rowan[/name_m] – I have a soft spot for this sweet and charming name! Definitely a favorite of mine!
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is spunky and cute, it’s on my list of faves as well.
[name_m]Levi[/name_m] is also on my shortlist haha- such a great name. It’s obviously biblical but feels modern at the same time.
