Suzanne Somers' widower, Alan Hamel, shared a touching sentiment about his late wife, revealing that the last thing he remembers before falling asleep is her.
In a heartfelt conversation with People Magazine on Wednesday, May 15, Hamel expressed how, during those quiet moments before sleeping, thoughts of Somers fill his mind.
"That's when I really think about her and feel that she's beside me — and it feels palpable," he shared.
Hamel continued, saying, "A couple of times, I've actually reached over, thinking she's here. Of course, I didn't feel her. But I feel her in my heart every night."
It is pertinent to note that It has been seven months since Somers passed away, losing her battle with an aggressive form of breast cancer on October 15, 2023, at the age of 76.
Adjusting to life without his soulmate has been a journey for Hamel, especially considering Somers passed away just one day before her 77th birthday.
The couple, deeply in love since they first met on the set of the marriage competition show The Anniversary Game in 1969, remained inseparable until Somers' passing. They tied the knot in 1977.
