Yolande Donlan was an American actress that had briefly appeared in smaller roles in Hollywood B-movies before American entered the war. She found success on stage where she caught the eye of British film director Val Guest. They fell in love and he brought her back to the silver screen with Miss Pilgrim's Progress (1949), casting her in the lead, no less. They would make more films together and eventually marry, staying married for over 50 years! She was a pretty actress, here doing the bubbly blond routine to the fullest to try and make a lacking script work. Was adorable in bits, but this was a thin soup. Felt like this was mostly a girlfriend showcase from Guest. But one I won't mind.
