2019: Indoor - Entered three heptathlons, completing one...Recorded four top-2 finishes at the Air Force Invitational heptathlon before withdrawing after the pole vault...Won the American Athletic Conference Championship heptathlon with a meet record score of 5,705 points, also setting a personal best that ranks No. 2 on the Shocker all-time top-10 list...Earned second team All-American honors finishing 12th at the NCAA Indoor Championships with 5,545 points. Outdoor - Competed in fifth meets, including three decathlons...Opened the season winning the K.T. Woodman Classic decathlon with 6,567, despite only scoring in only nine events...Won the American Athletic Conference decathlon title with 7,413 points, the fourth highest point total in Shocker history. Was also named the AAC Most Outstanding Performance award for recording the highest nationally ranked mark at the championships, he was No. 18 at the time...Finished 14th in the decathlon (7,329 points) at the NCAA Outdoor Championships earning second team All-American honors, he became the fourth decathlete in Shocker history to earn All-American honors.

2018: Indoor - Completed three heptathlons, finishing top-2 in each one...Won the Air Force Indoor Team Challenge (5,615) and second at the Shocker Multi (5,447), placed top-5 in all seven decathlon events at both meets...Earned all-conference honors finishing second at the American Athletic Conference Indoor championships with a personal best 5,527 points. Outdoor - Completed two decathlons...Placed 11th at Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays with 6,946 points...Earned all-conference honors finishing second at the American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships with a personal best 7,272...Set a total of 13 personal bests between the 2018 indoor and outdoor season.

2017: Indoor – Competed in three heptathlons...Finished second in the Shocker Multi and Herm Wilson Invitational...Finished second with a personal best score 5,304 at the MVC Indoor Championship. Outdoor -  Competed in three decathlons...Placed fourth with 6,614 points at the Arkansas Spring Invitational...Won the MVC Outdoor Championship with a score of 7,053 points.

2016: Indoor: Was fifth in his first Valley Championship Heptathlon with 4,992 points... Personal best is 5,100 points set at the UNI/Jack Jennett Invitational... Also was 17th at the MVC Championship in the triple jump. Outdoor: Earned All-Valley honors by finishing second in the Decathlon with a career-best 6,629 points... Was also 16th in the triple jump.

2015: Redshirted in 2014-15 while competing unattached.

High School: Attended Tonganoxie High School in Tonganoxie, Kan., where he participated in track and field for two years, played football for four years and played basketball for two years… Finished ninth in the 2014 Class 4A KSHSAA State Track and Field Meet in the high jump and was the 2014 Class 4A State Champion in the triple jump... His high school personal bests include 6-2 in the high jump and 45-2 in the triple jump... Was also all-league defensive back and wide receiver in football... Was a member of National Honor Society.

Personal: Son of Drew and Amy Johnson... Has a brother, Matt... His grandfather played college football...  Also recruited by Pitt State, Baker and Emporia State... Majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
