I loved the new Batman movie and found it to be probably the best Batman yet save for the very first one. And one of the reasons for the movie being so good was the great score! So I had to have this soundtrack. People who have heard the soundtrack at my home but had not seen the movie told me that after listening to the soundtrack they went out to see the movie. The recording is good; the engineers in the studio did their homework. When listening to the soundtrack I relive the whole movie all over again and isn't that the point of a great soundtrack?

This CD set is wonderful. Other people are saying something about not pressed? This set is not a CDR. It's not green in color. And even if it is, where are you going to record this yourself like others are saying? You can't. It's a great set and the artwork is great too. Only problem is Amazon didn't ship it in a padded envelope and the jewel case is cracked. Come on Amazon!

Overall I like the score. It fits the intended tone of the movie -- dark and brutal. And there's a full 2 hours of music in this soundtrack. My only quibble is with the overuse of the main 4-note motif. Giacchino uses it a LOT. And the more often you hear it the less impactful it becomes.

He does mix it up a bit in the track called "Highway to the Anger Zone" by taking the end of the motif off into another direction. But other than that it's frustratingly repetitive.

Even if you don't notice it consciously, it will seep into your unconscious if your hear it repeated often enough. And it might grow tiresome after a while. (Forget "might". It definitely does.)

Giachhino is of course a fine composer and I can see why he was selected. But if I wanted a dark, fierce score that instilled a sense of dread in the listener, I'd hire Howard Shore.

It's worth a listen. But I wish Giacchino had broadened it a bit to include a bit of a breather here and there. Imagine sitting through a 3-hour movie where the music is intense and in-your-face all the time and never relents. It would tire you out and become distracting.

Good music, just too much sameness.

Regardless of how one may feel about the motion picture, this soundtrack is amazing. I don't know much about composing this type of music. As nothing more than a Batman fan this soundtrack makes you feel like you are in Gotham City and I haven't had music transport me in that way since the Danny Elfman soundtrack for the 1989 Batman.

Viele Filme würden nicht Ihre Magie besitzen, wenn Sie nicht Ihre Musik hätten. Eine gute Filmmusik erzählt für mich eine Geschichte, ohne Worte zu sprechen. Die Musik soll die ganze Atmosphäre des Filmes einfangen, die wir auf unsere Bildschirme betrachten. Gleichzeitig fangen Sie die emotionalen Momente von Figuren ein, damit wir Sie auch selbst spüren können. Doch die Meisterleistung wäre, wenn die Musik in unseren Köpfen bleibt und Sie immer wieder erkennen, wenn wir allein nur den ersten Klang der Musik hören. Filmmusik liebe ich über alles. Als riesen Fan des Dunklen Ritters war ich nicht nur auf die Neuinterpretation gespannt (die ich persönlich super finde), sondern auch über die Musik. Den diese Titelfigur verdient einen einprägsamen Score.

Diese oben genannten Aspekte, hat der "The Batman" Score von Michael Giaccino für mich persönlich erfüllt. Den seit der ersten Veröffentlichung des Main themes geht der Soundtrack mir nicht mehr aus dem Kopf. Natürlich kann man sich nicht jeden Titel dieses Werkes merken, jedoch fangen diese die Szenen aus dem Film perfekt ein. Sei es die dargestellte Atmosphäre, die Emotionen der Charaktere oder die Action.

Für mich persönlich ist das Main theme eine Meisterleistung. In den ersten Minuten habe ich das Gefühl gehabt, das uns die Musik, den Mann hinter der Maske (Bruce Wayne), seine Gefühlswelt präsentiert. Wir alle wissen, warum er zu dem wurde wer er ist. Der Score erzählt mir dabei seine ganzen Schmerz, den er durch den Verlust seiner Eltern ertragen muss. Es zeigt die verletzliche Seite unseres Helden. Ab Minute 3:58 zieht er jedoch seine Maske an. Die folgenden Töne klingen nach Wut, Vergeltung und Angst. So sollen die Verbrecher von Gotham Ihn sehen...er ist Vergeltung. Den wenn das Licht (das Bat Signal) im Himmel erscheint, ist es nicht nur ein Zeichen...sondern eine Warnung. Diese Warnung sollen seine Feinde spüren. Der Main theme repräsentiert nicht nur die Figur, sondern auch die Gefühle von aussenstehenden, wenn Sie diesen Mann unter der Maske sehen...

Bevor es in einem riesen Roman endet, beende ich es lieber gleich. Ich bin ein Fan dieser Interpretation und auch von dieser Filmmusik. Von mir gibt es 5 Sterne und freue mich auf die Fortsetzung, die höchstwahrscheinlich uns einen weiteren tollen Film abliefert.
