Forever under-appreciated, Mark Murphy, as a pure jazz vocalist explodes on this 1972 release. He's at his best with the upbeat and unorthodox interpretations of classics. I especially enjoy his take of James Taylor's "Steamroller" He has always recorded with great musicians, no exception here as The Brecker Brothers and Ron Carter shine in supporting roles. This may be out of print, but it's well worth the search if you appreciate fearless artistry.
