You missed the Friday 13th series, which actually included the Necronomicon and the Kandarian Dagger as major plot devices in one of the films, and even suggested Jason himself might be a Deadite.

And thus by extension, A Nightmare on Elm Street which crosses over with Friday 13th. Not to mention the Freddy vs Jason vs Ash comic if you’re counting expanded fiction.

Halloween is Michael Myers, Friday the 13th is Jason Voorhees.

Oops, good spot. Corrected. I just got off a midnight shift and my brain is not functioning.

one of the evil dead movies had freddy's claws on the wall in the shed didnt it?

u/the__pov avatar

2 did. 1 had a Hills Have Eyes poster and Nightmare on Elm Street had characters watching The Evil Dead.

The FVJVA thing was based off a movie Sam wanted to do but got canned. So we can assume that he was fine with them being canon to ash’s universe

u/rojasdracul avatar

Omfg, JGTH is NOT canon! None of the New Line films are canon since they didn't buy Friday the 13th only the rights to use Jason. Just stop trying to make this bullshit from a hack pile of shit director canon, it's NEVER happening!

Regardless of how you feel about the “bullshit” it’s still very much canon to the rest of the franchise. 🤷‍♂️

u/rojasdracul avatar

No, it isn't.

buffy vs evil dead would be insane

I always felt that Rami's own Drag Me To Hell would be a good fit for the Evil Dead universe.

u/Old_Cheesecake1116 avatar

It's already connected, Bruce Campbell was going to make a cameo but was unavailable so they could only include the delta.

u/JoeAzlz avatar

Did we ever learn if Bruce’s cameo was as ash?

u/Old_Cheesecake1116 avatar

probably was

u/JoeAzlz avatar

That would be huge.

I always thought SCP and Hellsing would be fun too include in the universe as well.

u/Cinephiliac_Anon avatar

Ooh, buddy I have spent the last two years on and off looking for connections between horror movies that can count them into the same universe.

So far, it's at 97 Movies and 5 TV Shows.

If you're interested, I can (hopefully) comment the list with reasons for the connections. They are far fetched.

Yes please

I am doing this to make sure that I get credit for the list and it won't end up as some "hey dude look what I made" and my hard work will be without credit (and people wouldn't believe me).

Jason Vorhees is the absolute worst nightmare when it comes to deadites. He just keeps coming no matter what you throw at him...

jason goes to hell had the necronomicon in it didnt it?

Exactly Steven found it in his shed. And the universes fit perfectly as does Freddie's. I wished they would have made a movie instead of letting it end in a comic...

i saw a video of where ted and one of the other directors of either freddy or jason or michale would throw easter eggs back at each other in their films pertaining to each other's movies but i forget wich one lol also you know that fucking car in evil dead has been used in a bunch of other movies ted makes saw a video on that too lol

u/HornyHorror1973 avatar

Sam Raimi’s car appears in a bunch of his movies, yeah

I'd also throw the Blind Dead series in there. It's about undead blind Templar knights that are resurrected at night to kill the living, but that rule isn't always followed, like the deadites.

There's also the House series, especially the first.

Lucio Fulci's Gates of Hell trilogy.

The Italian Demons series.

Not to mention the European unofficial sequels to Evil Dead; Ghosthouse, Witchery, and Beyond Darkness.

u/Sraffiti_G avatar

I can see Evil Dead being in the same universe as CW's Supernatural too, apart from the fact they referenced Evil Dead twice, so maybe not so much

u/JoeAzlz avatar

I mean Freddy and Jason are refecne in evil dead but they’re meant to be in the same realm
