I am looking into booking a flight to Krakow and found a fare on Jetcost.it. I've not heard of them and wondering if anyone has used them, and if so, what your experience has been?
Thanks much!

This is just a search engine that will direct you to another site. Save yourself money and trouble and just book directly with the airlines on their own webpages.
Thanks for your feedback. They are a bit cheaper than the airline.
"They are a bit cheaper than the airline." - It's more likely that they are not using live prices like lots of similar search engines.
Jetcost looks good to me.
I booked return family flights (for five people) totalling €500 directly with Ryanair at what looks like a good price, and afterwards found same flights, on jetcost.ie at €15 per person cheaper (prospective total saving of €75 -- ie. 15%).
If there are no hidden catches it looks keen to me, so in future jetcost will be my first port of call when looking for flight deals, and I'll cross-check with Ryanair etc. before committing.
Jetcost also offers the added advantage of steering you into a decent range of options which mightn't otherwise have occured to you. I'm now looking for flights for my son and find the jetcost site is bringing up comprehensive options, and at least matching Ryanair's deals - or so it appears prior to committing.
You won't get Ryanair tickets cheaper through a third party. Also you may want to check Ryanair's T&C's as they don't allow tickets to be bought via most third parties and it has been known for tickets to be cancelled. Your choice.
The only way that Jetcost, or anyone else, can undercut Ryanair fares is to lose money on each booking. I can't really see them doing that, so I have a feeling anyone taking that fare at face value will be in for a nasty surprise somewhere along the way...
>> so in future jetcost will be my first port of call when looking for flight deals <<
You would not be buying flights from Jetcost they are a search engine similar to skyscanner/kayak etc
Having looked at it, similar to the others, it is the dodgy third party sites like Bravofly and eDreams that come out the cheapest
If you are in the slightest bit tempted I would keep in mind that these sites pay to appear in the search engines, they want to show the lowest fare to suck in those that are looking for the best deal and they do not have live prices
Have a read of the reviews on here, they will take your money at the advertised price, contact you 24-48 hours later to say that the advertised fare is no longer available and you need to pay extra if you still want the flights or you can decline and wait weeks to get your own money back by which time the real fares will likely have risen more. There are many many tales of woe where people booking with these agents have ended up paying more than booking direct with the airline
If you are still thinking that using Jetcost is a good idea, irishtraveller63, then good luck to you, you're going to need it!
Thanks for helping to put the record straight, ...& major correction -
I'LL STEER WELL CLEAR OF BOOKING VIA JETCOST as there appears to be an annoying catch, if not several.
In addition to previous comments of others, this was the proviso on the e-dreams site I was steered onto via jetcost yesterday on going one stage further towards committing to tickets:
"Price including service charges and taxes when paying with Diners Club (limited to 1 purchase every three months, by buyer, passenger or bank card number). See price breakdown. Please check the “Payment methods” box in this page for prices with other payment methods".
I needed 12 tickets, and anyway life's too short for the potential rigmarole of trying to join Diners Club with the prospect of chasing another bum-steer........ and now that I remember my uncle was BADLY STUNG by e-dreams for a Ryanair flight. Now I'm keener on ryanair.com than ever - especially the "ROUTE MAP" window on the current website as a route in to selecting & booking flights & return flights, which directs you through a useful price-tracking bar-charts feature.
So no, I definately don't think Jetcost is a good idea as a booking route, although it does throw up a range of flight-route options to pursue directly with the related airlines.
Edited: 9 years agoIt's not a booking route in itself, it merely directs you to those who claim to have the cheapest price. No matter how you reach Edreams, Bravofly, Opodo, Cheapoair and the rest of the dodgy third parties.
As you've now concluded, search sites are OK for looking to see who operates over a route, then just go to the airlines themselves.
