Vintage Guitar shops / Local Bands

Hi,

I am heading to CDMX from the 26-8th staying in La Condesa. Does anyone have any recommendations on guitar shops in the city? Also looking for local CDMX bands to checkout. Thanks in advance!

For guitar shops, hit up Calle Bolívar between República de Uruguay and Mesones (aprox.). It’s walking distance from Palacio de Bellas Artes and Centro Histórico. Tons of music shops all down the street.

If you just enter these coordinates into Google Maps it’ll take you right to the middle of that: (19.4296347, -99.1389496)

Thanks Urchin!

do those music shops include record stores?

Not that I can think of. Mostly just music instruments and sound equipment as far as I recall.

Guitarras Valdez, the area may look a little chaotic, but if you do not wear flashy things like jewelry, you will not have problems.

Bolivar Street, There are many instrument stores and equipment for musicians, there you can also inform you of musical groups of any genre.
