DOYLESTOWN, PA — Castle Valley Mill is partnering with New Jersey Private Chef Matt Collins and Chef Attilio Guranio to bring a fine dining experience to the scenic outdoor location of one of Bucks County’s oldest operating mills.

The event, to be held on Saturday, May 18 from 4 to 8 p.m., will feature extensive menus highlighting local ingredients, including grains from the mill and ramps harvested from the banks of the property on the Neshaminy Creek.

Attendees will enjoy live music from the eclectic folk band, "Instant Bingo," while lounging outdoors and enjoying the sights and sounds of creek life. Later there will be opportunities to settle in around a firepit.

Chef Guranio is the owner of Ava’s Kitchen & Bar in Kenilworth, N.J. This cozy, stylish bar and restaurant features a wood-burning pizza oven that cooks crispy, thin-crust pizza for lunch and dinner. The restaurant is also a coveted spot to host corporate gatherings and other events.

Castle Valley Mill is a fully restored 1800s grist mill in Doylestown that began supplying local whole and stone ground, freshly milled flours, grits and meals to the tri-state area 12 years ago. The breathtaking property spans 20 acres of wooded forests on both sides of the Neshaminy Creek.

“It’s always thrilling to taste foods made with our products,” said Fran Fischer, who owns Castle Valley Mill with her husband Mark. “These are two very talented chefs each creating their own dishes in front of guests. Instant Bingo, a band we’ve known and loved for years, is going to be a great added bonus to the event.”

Castle Valley Mill and their chefs continue to bridge the gap between local farmers and diners, a mission that has taken the world by storm in the past decade. Fostering relationships with local sustainable farmers, quality-conscious chefs, and ethical consumers will be on full display at the “Grainful Gathering” event.
