Actually kinda amusing...

For some context, this is one of those, "Turn D&D Night Into an Animation" thingies, but... with the Rick & Morty creator/writer as one of the players. It started off kind of a groaner once I realized what it was, but I was quickly sucked in. The people Dan plays with in Episode 1 are all amusing in their own way. Keep in mind, this is all supposedly ad libbed too, so its not gonna be perfect, but it also demonstrates the acting and storytelling skills of those involved. (( EDIT )) after watching all the episodes: It was amusing throughout. Even in some of its flaws... aka occasional lameness and/or personal conflict between players seen in how they played the game... I still liked it, bc I felt it represented what really happens from a social-context with a group of friends who play these kinds of games over a long period of time... now, add onto the standard drama I mentioned above, you get the 'egos & greed' paradigm, aka the 'celebrity' aspect and $$ concerns. My only critique is that at a few points, the players appeared (to me) to either blatantly know what was about to happen in the story, or, in a more subtle way, steered the story in a direction that suspiciously progressed it... aka it was potentially scripted, taking away (for me) some of the 'kudos' I gave regarding how it "... demonstrates the acting and storytelling skills." I understand the idea that the guest leaves the game each episode and how this is scripted, I just felt the players shouldn't know how it happens too if the goal was to elicit a genuine, skillful response. ))

Actually a good show

For everyone questioning why Crunchyroll acquired this they already owned the license. The people who own Crunchyroll own HarmonQuest. This used to be on VRV and as VRV was shutdown the service directed everyone to Crunchyroll. It's not a surprise if they eventually get all the things VRV owned.

Its not Anime Waaaaahhhhhhh

This is a fun show with great D&D humor. Some of you need to chill out with the "Its not Anime". You're getting more content on this platform whats the problem? Stop gatekeeping nonsense.

Always fun to watch

Always finds a way to make me laugh. If you are into roleplaying games like DND this is a real joy to watch and I find I can relate to a lot of it.
