―A 250 killstreak

Commonly abbreviated by the community as "KS".

Not to be confused with edgelord, the inspiration for the final phase, and Reaper which has phases when people are killed.

Overview

Killstreak is a slap-costing glove and was added on June 4, 2021. It requires SlapsIconNew 5,000 to equip. It appears as a red colored glove with maroon/crimson shading and diamond plating. It is widely considered to be one of the best gloves in the game as it gives you overpowered power and walkspeed, however, there are some drawbacks that aren't touched on very often, which will be discussed throughout the page.

The glove has a crimson color with a metal-like texture with some overshadows. The handle shares these attributes. When obtaining a kill, the glove gains an orange-yellow flame, which increases in intensity when you gain more kills.

Upon getting more kills, your power gets stronger. However, if you reach 75 kills, you get weaker until you get more kills.

Passive

Soul snatcher

Killstreak's passive, "Soul snatcher," its very interesting, and good with skill. Whenever you kill someone, your slapping power will increase. Once you reach certain milestones, you will gain large stat and speed increases, which are categorized as phases, of which there are 8. However, when you reach 75 kills (Phase 6), you gain an ability at the cost of a power and walkspeed nerf. This power is then upgraded again upon hitting 100 kills (Phase 7). The ability is stronger, and your high walkspeed and power are restored. Finally, when reaching 250 kills (Phase 8), you lose the ability in trade for a different ability, which you still keep the glove.

You will not be affected by the Snow, Snowball, or Shard gloves at all times, and God's Hand's Time stop ability upon reaching phase 3, or 10 Kills. Druid's ability will not paralyze you, although you will still get knocked back. You will also not be affected by the Mitten's Present ability speed buffs.

In Killstreak Only, you gain the ability to steal kills from other Killstreak users by killing them. The formula for the number of kills stolen is: . If "x" is odd, then the halved number will be rounded up.

Killstreakpassive

A demonstration of Killstreak's passive, note the fire being added to the glove and the kill counter going up.

Ability

Please note that these abilities have no official name. The UI that pops up when the ability is used is called "Soul snatcher" due to it being its passive's name.

Orb Blast

You gain the Orb Blast ability to fire an orb at Phase 6. This does little knockback and has a relatively small hitbox, but it's useful to take out edge campers if you know how to aim. Orb Blast is then upgraded upon achieving Phase 7, where it is now massive and gives extreme knockback to anyone unfortunate enough to be caught in the blast.

Telekinetic Push

Upon achieving Phase 8, you lose the Orb Blast ability and receive this instead. Upon the ability's use, your character raises their arm and a whooshing sound effect is played, while anyone in front of you is flung away.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Extremely strong slap power and fast walkspeed in many of the phases.
  • Can gain strong ranged abilities in later phases.
  • After 10 kills, you are no longer affected by God's Hand's Timestop.
  • Upon reaching certain phases (4, 5, and 8), you gain temporary i-frames (Invincibility frames).
  • Like Hallow Jack and Jet, phase 6-8's ability can bypass Reverse's ability.
  • During phases 6, 7, and 8, you can easily kill players with deadly passives from far away.
  • Immune to Snow, Shard, and Snowball's slowness abilities.
  • Immune to Druid's stun.
  • You can "pay to win" (commonly abbreviated as "P2W") by buying the "KILLS" Developer product, which will immediately grant the user 10 kills.
    • However, this will likely get you targeted and killed, losing the Robux you spent.
  • If you’re having trouble with gaining kills, you can easily get more if you're helped by a friend with Guardian Angel.
  • When you obtain 250 kills, you are no longer affected by the Reverse ability.
  • Immune to Santa's snow peep ability.
  • Using the "orb" abilities freezes your avatar in the place you used it (You can still move, but for the other players' perspective, you are freezed) so you are able to get out of tough situations and surprise attack.

Cons

  • Very low starting power.
  • Heavily targeted by most players when past Phase 3.
  • Phase 4 will start out very slow.
  • Hard to see with Phase 5's red filter. This applies to everyone though, so it could be considered both a pro and a con.
    • However, if bob is used on you during Phase 5, it will basically be a guaranteed death since bob’s darkness will add to the red filter, making it impossible to see.
  • Very low power and speed during Phase 6. This is the phase where most players will see their advantage and try their best to kill you before reaching phase 7.
  • The blindness from entering Phase 7 affects the Killstreak user as well, which can temporarily make dodging other players more difficult.
  • The high walkspeed can provide some issues, such as when trying to slap other players. This can also result in falling off if not careful.
  • This glove tends to be targeted by Oneshots, and Link most of the time.
  • Same for God's Hand if the Killstreak user is below 10 kills.
  • Za Hando can be a big threat if the user knows how to pull in people and flick them off the map, or when paired with MEGAROCK, CUSTOM or Diamond
  • If someone gets slapped by a Link, the player can pass on the life link to the Killstreak user. The Link user can then jump off the map, bypassing blessings from Guardian Angel, if having one.
  • Sbeve can turn you into a sbeve if during the slow start of Phase 4.

Phases

Phase 1 (0-3 Kills)

Your walkspeed and power are weak, but it actually can be a good thing. The low power can enable you to combo someone to the edge, securing a kill. Your glove begins to catch more and more fire with every kill you get in this phase, as well as more power, too. First, a few orange flames. Second, more orange flames. Lastly, yellow flames that leave a trail whereever you go.

Your body doesn't emit an aura and no audio is played during this phase.

Phase 2 (4-9 Kills)

This phase starts at 4 kills, where your character gains a noticeable walkspeed boost and a song begins to play. Your character gains a black outline and red overlay, which can be seen through walls. At 5 kills, you gain a red aura, and the boost in power becomes noticeable. The red overlay becomes deeper as the player gains more kills. This lasts until 10 kills, which is when the next phase begins.

Audio

Phase 3 (10-24 Kills)

When you reach 10 kills, everyone's screen will flash red a few times, almost like a warning to everyone that you've reached 10 kills. Your walkspeed and power increase further, and you can basically one-shot everyone unless they get lucky. The player's right eye starts shining, and a red vortex effect forms at the player's feet. The red aura, overlay and black outline look mostly the same.

Upon reaching this phase for the first time, you are awarded the [REDACTED] badge.

Beginning from this phase onward, God's Hand's Time stop no longer affects you.

Audio

Phase 4 (25-49 Kills)

When you reach 25 kills, you are slowed to a crawl. A new song begins, and everyone's screen is slowly tinted blue. As soon as the buildup in the song ends, the screen returns to normal. You gain extreme power and walkspeed boosts, with your slaps almost always being one shots. Your aura changes to blue, with lightning bolts and an X crisscross effect, as well as a bright white outline.

Upon reaching this phase for the first time, you are awarded the "The one" badge.

Audio

Phase 5 (50-74 Kills)

When you reach 50 kills, a black and purple colored explosion goes off around you. The song starts, and you are slowed. Everyone's screen slowly zooms out and turns red. This red screen will persist until you either reach the next phase, die or stay alive for a specific amount of time. You slowly get faster, and you will have a period of invincibility. The screen will slowly start to zoom back in. After the buildup of the song, you regain the aura from phase 3, but with the addition of a bright glow effect to both your aura and the glove. Due to the glove's flame, you now leave behind a fiery red trail while moving. You now have ludicrous amounts of both walkspeed and power, and the sound played when slapping someone is changed to the typical one shot sound. Dying to somebody with a Default glove will give them the Anticlimactic End badge and the Rage glove.

Upon reaching this phase for the first time, you are awarded the Ascend badge.

Audio

Lyrics:

No more holding back They'll wish for demise They thought they were invincible But you could see through their hollow lies You've seen how far they've come How many they've slain You will gladly tear their limbs apart All before they start to kill again

They were seen as a threat by the moment the dragon was killed by their hand Now you're sent to demolish the foe upon your ruler's despondent demand

Something tells you they have scaled in their power Should they win, it shall be your final hour But you still have control of the fight If they mess up, you might have a chance to destroy them

But is this the right path that you've taken? Are your morals correct, or mistaken? Are you sure you want to lose your mind From a legend whose power could salvage mankind?

Note that only the 1st part of the song, "Grief" is played.

Phase 6 (75-99 Kills)

Upon reaching 75 kills, the screen fades from purple, while a powering down sound is played. Rainbow text appears at the top of the screen saying, "ABILITY UNLOCKED!", which then slides to the top and disappears. Your power and walkspeed are returned to default stats, and you unlock an E ability. Each kill gives you a little boost in walkspeed and power. Your outline changes to bright red and your overlay changes to purple.

Ability

Using the ability, you raise the glove into the air, and a purple energy orb grows. You then swing the glove forward and fire the orb in the direction you are facing. The purple orb deals only a slight amount of knockback. Getting a kill during the beginning of this phase is one of the hardest things about this glove, especially since the entire server is against you. The ability has around an 8 second cooldown.

Your aura is a dull, purple color until you reach 80 kills, where it gains a bit of a light purple, almost pink flame effect. This is the only phase that does this kind of thing with the aura.

Audio

Phase 7 (100-249 Kills)

When you reach 100 kills, an explosion sound effect plays, and everyone's screen is blinded by yellow. The music starts, with the yellow fading into a blur, and later back to normal. Your aura is a mix of yellow and black, with 2 golden, pulsating rings surrounding your character. Your overlay and outline become a bright yellow. The glove will also begin to glow bright yellow, similarly to the Golden glove. Your walkspeed and power are restored and boosted, and so is the one shot slap sound effect.

Ability

In addition, your E ability is upgraded. Now, it is a giant yellow orb, which has extreme knockback and a relatively short cooldown (around 15 secs). Being hit by this orb is almost always a guaranteed one shot.

A skilled player with this phase is basically immortal for the time being, since they can just use their gigantic orb to knock camping one shot users and other strong gloves away. Only luck will decide if a one shot user spawns on you.

Upon reaching this phase for the first time, you are awarded the 1 0 0 badge.

Audio

Phase 8 (250+ Kills)

When you reach 250 kills, you are slowed, a new song will start, and a black, dripping effect emits from your character. Your overlay is now pure black while your outline is white. Your pose also changes, with the character's arms being held behind the back, and you can see them visibly breathing. After the buildup in the song finishes, an explosion occurs, and everyone's screen is zoomed in and out rapidly. Your aura is now pitch black, with a glitch-like effect also added.

250explosion

The "explosion" which happens after the Killstreak reaches 250

After the explosion, you gain a new ability, Telekinesis. When using this ability, your character will extend their right arm, and a whooshing sound effect will play, along with launching any player in front of you a good distance away. The ability has a decent range, and the cooldown is extremely short. In addition, the ability is able to ignore the Reverse glove's ability, as well as the Blocked glove's ability. Your walkspeed is decently quick, but slower than most phases.

This phase is actually based off of the admin "glove" edgelord. The pose and ability are the same, however, the Edgelord glove has quite a few different advantages, with teleportation, invincibility, and longer ability range. The only true advantage this phase has over edgelord is faster walkspeed.

Upon reaching this phase for the first time, you are awarded the 250 badge.

Tips

Here are tips that you may be able to use as a Killstreak on public servers.

General Tips

  • Be sure to check the leaderboard often. This will warn you in advance if someone is using a one-shot glove or something like Reverse. This will also help you tell who's using what glove, as many players will hide their glove from you in an attempt to be sneaky.
  • It is useful to bring a friend, preferably using a powerful or supportive ability, to help you knock players off the edge in earlier phases and protect you.
  • Abuse the iframes that you get upon hitting Phases 4 and 5. Use them to take out one-shot gloves while you are invulnerable to their attacks.
  • If someone is hiding their glove and you haven't checked the leaderboard, always assume that it is something dangerous and stay away from that person.
  • For your first few kills, avoid players using powerful gloves, and instead target beginners who are using weaker gloves, such as Default, Diamond, or ZZZZZZZ. However if a Default user is above 50k slaps you should avoid them because it is likely they will combo you.
  • Be sure to avoid one-shot users at all costs, as they are able to end your streak very easily. A decent tactic to try is to jump around them and hit them in the back, as they likely won't be expecting you to come close to them on purpose.
  • Do not get overconfident if you reach higher phases. Letting your guard down at any point could result in fatal consequences.
  • Certain projectiles can be harder to see with Phase 5's filter, such as Bubble's bubbles due to its transparency or Tableflip's table due to its color blending in with the grass.
  • In Phase 5, wait until you get to 74 kills, and then stop trying to get kills. Wait until a big group of weak glove users appear, and then rush in and slap them all. This is to push yourself closer to 80 kills, which is when you can gain enough speed to comfortably outrun other players.
  • At Phases 2 and 3, keep the maximum distance away from the void you need to slap players into the void. This reduces your chances of being hit into the void.
  • Finding a server with a high number of beginners could be a good idea for getting a high streak, as most have no clue what they are doing, therefore being easy kills for you.
  • If multiple players are using different gloves that look similar, you could try to guess which players are using what and follow up with avoiding or targeting them. Though it would be better to just look at the leaderboard on PC.
  • If you are on mobile and cannot easily access the leaderboard, you should not target players who seem to be actively chasing you during Phases 2 and 3 as they most likely are using dangerous gloves.
  • Instead, target those who are holding out very distinct and weak gloves that are not easily confused with other gloves, such as Ghost.
  • Once you get to the invulnerability stages of Phase 4 and 5, use those opportunities to quickly scan the leaderboards for threatening gloves, as well as the players using them. You should know when to exit the leaderboard as your music drops right as the invulnerability stage ends.
  • If there are still other players using gloves that can kill you during your invulnerability stage(s), those being indirect projectile gloves, try to dodge any attacks by them instead.
  • Turning off your volume gives you a bit more of focus on getting kills. Though this would also not alert you about sound effects certain gloves make.
  • You are a massive target if you are seen using this glove, be prepared to be targeted.
  • Guardian Angel will save you from almost everything so if a player does give you the "Blessing" ability use that to your advantage it saves you in most dangerous situations. Just be careful for Link, as the blessing doesnt work when you die due to link.

Tips against specific gloves

  • When you see Reverse, Stun, Counter, or other similar gloves which require you to be close to them to affect you with their ability, run towards them for a second, then immediately back away. This is to try and bait them into using their ability. When they are on cooldown, immediately rush in to try to kill them.
  • If there are any Za Hando and/or Swapper users present in the server, kill them as quickly as possible. Once they are off cooldown and are at the edges of the island, they are in the prime position to kill you.
  • Pusher, Tableflip, and other indirect projectile ability gloves can easily kill you during the i-frames you get during the beginning of Phase 4, 5, and 8. Thus, only enter these phases when you know that they are on cooldown.
  • Sparky can catch up to you no matter what phase you are at. If you happen to be near the Sparky when they use their ability, slap them as soon as possible before they get fast. If they gain speed away from you and start targeting you, time your jumps and move around to outmaneuver the Sparky as much as possible. They become easier to deal with at Phase 6 and especially 7 since you have a ranged ability.
  • Be careful with Null users, as your glove can only kill imps individually and therefore cannot handle an entire horde. Instead, walk onto a bridge to hopefully lure them into the void. At Phases 6 and above, you can use your ability to clear them easily.
  • If you see a Shukuchi user camping the edge of the island, approach them facing towards the island. Their ability slaps you in the direction that you face.
  • Players that Detonator users slap can be bombed at will, knocking you away. Keep a distance from players affected unless you are certain that they will not explode.
  • Gloves that can knock you back quite far, for example, Ice, Gummy, or Bull should only be dealt with in the center of the arena, so you do not risk falling off. This also means that they are most likely only can be killed past Phase 3.
  • Avoid gloves that can obstruct or affect your vision such as Squid, Mail, Jester, and Nightmare, as this can leave you vulnerable to other players.
  • Don't allow bob and rob to collide, as the black hole will force you onto one of the side islands, leaving you vulnerable, as there is limited space to run.
  • Avoid pseudo-oneshots such as Psycho, Lure, and Detonator just as much as oneshots themselves, since they can guarantee a kill on you as soon as they manage to slap you.
  • Stay away from Jester at all costs since all cards pose a threat to you. In best case scenario, they will just swap you to somewhere else, but if you are out of luck, you can get instantly killed.
  • It is recommended to avoid Blasphemy, as it is not worth it to get knocked back from the piano.
  • As only rob has an initial cooldown when entering the arena, it would be wise to take out the rob user and avoid the bob user, as bob itself already poses a threat to you.
  • Avoid Pan, as they can easily hit you off the map if knowing how to.
  • Avoid Potato or Plague when you have reach phase 8, as you won't be able give the effects the other players because you are unable to slap.

Trivia

  • For Phases 3, 4, and 7, as long as you are slow, you have immunity frames (i-frames). This means no one can slap you as long as they are active. Be aware, however, that you can still die if you slap someone under the effects of the Reverse glove's ability. bob and projectiles with collision ignores these I-Frames.
  • This is the glove to have the most badges associated with it, having 6 badges available to obtain, one of the badges being the Jack's Will badge, only obtainable during Halloween. The other glove to come close is Reverse, having 3 badges that directly require it.
  • Weirdly enough, Phases 2 and 6 are the only phases to not reward badges upon achieving them. In the case of Phase 2, it's probably because it is pretty easy to achieve, but there still isn't a good explanation as to why Phase 6 doesn't reward a badge.
    • Rudy has made a video on some facts about Phase 6. You can access the video here.
  • On mobile, E abilities can be used with an on-screen button. Interestingly, upon reaching Phase 6 and gaining the ability, the E ability button used to be different from the normal one. This also occurred when an Xbox user reaches Phase 6, as they could not use LT for the ability. For whatever reason, this change was reverted in the rework.
Ability button (E) on mobile when on Phase 6.
  • The kill count number replaces your name tag.
    • This means you can't get proof you are the account owner when, for example, claiming a role in the Slap Battles server.
  • All auras give off light, although it can be a bit hard to notice at times.
  • Due to the glove's nature of being able to boost the user's walkspeed, Killstreak is not affected by most slowing abilities, such as Snow's or Snowball's. Notable exceptions to this quirk are Boogie and Thor.
  • Phase 8 is the only phase for this glove that cannot slap, and instead triggers the telekinesis ability. This means that Killstreak is the only glove that has an E ability that is also key-binded to the slapping button.
    • This also means that Killstreak is one of a very small group of gloves that can lose their ability to slap due to their own ability, the others are Track (It loses it's hand after firing it), Phase, Extended (After it is converted into a Glovel), Jebaited and Psycho (When a Psycho is floating, they cannot slap).
  • This glove was originally allowed in No Oneshots, however it was removed due to it being "grossly overpowered". It was briefly added back due to a glitch but was subsequently removed again a few days later.
  • This glove is an iconic glove in Slap Battles, and many Slap Battles fangames are based on it.
  • Phase 5 is the only phase with a song that has lyrics, though it can be hard to make out what the people are saying. It's also the only one that isn't fully played, most likely because the original is 12 minutes long with 4 parts.
  • Killstreak is the only glove that can lose abilities in trade for others.
  • This and the CUSTOM glove are the only gloves that can change colors.
  • Going in first person while you have an aura can severely limit your visibility and may cause your game to lag.
  • This, Spectator, Zombie, and Reaper are the only gloves that can move in God's Hand's Timestop without using glitches besides the God's Hand user themselves.
  • When in Phase 5, there is a rare bug that causes the screen to return to its normal state without the filter. It is currently unknown what causes this to occur.
  • This is currently the only glove to go through more than one rework.
  • This glove has its own gamemode, Killstreak Only.
  • In Killstreak Only, players are allowed to farm kills, despite this not being allowed in the main game.
  • The screen effects when transitioning to certain phases are server-wide, meaning you can see them from whatever location you may be in.
    • This can be problematic if you are doing something like the Slap Tournament or the Retro Obby, especially if the Killstreak happens to be at Phase 5.
  • Counter's AoE ability and Thor's ability were able to remove Killstreak's speed boosts.
  • If you slap someone into the REDACTED's dimension and they pick the wrong door, you will likely get a kill since the said doors oneshots the player. But the player may stall and wait out the kill timer and then choose a door.
  • In The Eternal BOB boss fight, the abilities of Phase 5-7 are disabled.
  • This glove, like Phase, could be a reference to Undertale and Undertale-related media for a variety of reasons:
  • Each kill (aka soul) making you stronger might refer to how Monsters become stronger: By absorbing a Human SOUL (like how Flowey turned into Asriel Dreemurr).
  • The flashing red screen at the start of Phase 3 could be a reference to the start of the Photoshop Flowey fight on a Neutral Route and the Chara Jumpscare at the end of a Genocide Route.
  • The music at Phase 8 is a song called "True LOVE" by NyxTheShield, composed for Glitchtale, an unofficial TV Show based on Undertale.
  • If a user has very low graphics by changing them in the Roblox menu, the horns on stand will look dotted.
  • One of the messages from The Plate states that during the Parry update, a new phase at 500 kills was added. However, this message is not true. Another sign on the Plate said "i love spreading misinformation", foreshadowing this.
  • During different phases, if the player is hit by a rocky glove's ability it will not only still turn into a rock, but it will be a different color depending on the current killstreak phase's color. Phase 1 (0-3 kills)-none, phase 1.5 (4 kills)-red, phase 2 (5-9 kills)-red, phase 3 (10-24 kills)-red, phase 4 (25-49 kills)-blue, phase 5 (50-74 kills)-red, phase 6 (75-99 kills)-purple, phase 7 (100-249 kills)-yellow, and phase 8 (250+ kills)-black.
  • For some reason, the kill counter at the top of the screen only displays the number instead of the icon.
  • Since the Oven update, the Killstreak +10 kills icon has been moved from the left to the location next to the slap count.
    • This annoys many mobile players, as they can easily misclick it as shift-lock and jump button.
  • Most of the songs used are from bossfights from other games, such as Undertale and the Terraria Calamity Mod.
