“Daniel and our daughter have been watching Star Wars,” Rachel shared. “It was like a father-daughter, kind of, bonding experience, and they started on the original ones.”
She continued, “My daughter got obsessed. Like, she kept saying, ‘Google this. Google this. What does Darth Vader look like under his mask?’”
Rachel went on to say that Grace became a little too obsessed with Star Wars so she and Daniel, 55, had put on a pause on her binge-watching.
“He decided to tell her that Star Wars is broken,” Rachel joked. “So, we were in London when this happened, so she said, ‘Dad said Star Wars is broken’ so they can’t watch it anymore. And then, we just got to New York, and she was like, ‘Is Star Wars broken in New York, too?’ And so, I said, ‘Yeah, yeah, it’s broken.’”
Although she’s only original three Star Wars movies — A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi — Rachel mentioned that Grace has seen Daniel‘s brief cameo in The Force Awakens.
In the 2015 movie, Daniel appeared as a stormtrooper, whom Daisy Ridley’s Rey used a Jedi mind trick on to escape capture.
Rachel is also mom 16-year-old son Henry, whom she shares with Darren Aronofsky, while Daniel shares daughter Ella, 31, with ex-wife Fiona Loudon.
In another recent interview, Rachel explained why she isn’t on social media.
