Winning his first Olympic gold medal in the Super-G at the Games in Albertville, Kjetil Andre Aamodt began a fabulous career. His talent allowed him to dominate all the disciplines and become the most successful Alpine skier in Olympic history, winning eight Olympic medals, four of them gold. He ended as he had started, in Sestrière 14 years later at the Turin Games, with another win in the Super-G. He ranks as both the youngest (20) and the oldest (34) Olympic champion in his sport.
