All regular Board of Education meetings are held on Tuesday evenings, beginning with a Closed Session at 5:30 p.m., immediately followed by Open Session at 6:30 p.m. Unless otherwise noted, the meetings will take place at the District Administrative Center, 515 West Main Street, Barrington, Illinois. All Board meetings are live-streamed on the Board's YouTube channel.

Pursuant to School Board Policy 2:150, the Board of Education may establish committees to assist with the Board's governance function and, in some situations, to comply with state law requirements. Each committee reports directly to the Board of Education. Committee members may include both Board Members and non-Board Members depending on the committee's purpose. Committee appointments are made at the organization meeting of the Board that is held following the consolidated election in April of odd numbered years. Committee meetings are typically held once per month. The purpose of the Policy Committee is to review existing policies, recommend changes where necessary, and propose new policies for consideration by the Board.

Kids walk into schools full of wonder and questions. How educators respond to students' natural curiosities can help further their exploration and shape the way they learn today and in the future. Our job as educators is to provide new and better opportunities for our students. We must foster innovation, encourage critical thinking, and inspire creativity--and those are the skills our students need to succeed.
Join George Couros, author of The Innovator's Mindset, as he encourages teachers, administrators, and parents to empower their learners to wonder, to explore--and to become forward-thinking leaders. If we want innovative students, we need innovative educators. In other words, innovation begins with you. Ultimately, innovation is not about a skill set: it's about a mindset.
The Innovator's Mindset event is open to all Barrington 220 staff, as well as members of the community. This will be held on June 13, 2024 from 12:00-3:00 at the Willow Creek Activity Center. A copy of George Couros' book, The Innovator's Mindset, will be provided to every participant at the event. I love being a part of the Barrington High School community because I am able to support our outstanding students throughout their high school journey!
