I had such a great time at Foley High School and I want to tell everyone about it. The best part was definitely the awesome teachers who were always there to help and guide me. Learning was never boring because they made it fun and interesting. There were also so many cool activities to take part in, like dodgeball games where we played against the teachers, powerpuff flag football, and exciting pep rallies. During counselor week, we even got to dress up in unique and fun ways every day. The only thing I wish is that the school offered more extracurricular activities beyond just sports, art, and theatre.
High school was enjoyable but nothing special. Our student councilors did not properly assist and prepare us for college, which definitely hurt me when I first started. However most of the teachers and staff cared deeply for the students, which I greatly appreciated.
The teachers do their best at preparing students for standardized testing, college, and careers after school. We have ACT prep classes 3 days a week and are given numerous resources to raise scores.
It has been nice but there is a pot of fights at school. However there are a lot of nice teachers and people. Teachers make you feel safe and confident with yourself.
The best part were the teachers. I really enjoyed coming to class, even in my worst days and they were always compassionate.
The worst part were the peers. Teens can be mean and there's only so much administration can do.

I would say my experience at Foley High School would be like any other High School experience. You get the knowledge you need to graduate and to take with you when you get into the real world. You also get to meet different people and make friendships along the way. You learn the values of life.
The change I would like to see is better teaching. I feel that we are not given the proper skills to succeed due to lack of teaching. There’s also no preparation at all for taking the ACT exam.
I am glad my daughter is graduating this year. I would like to see the school do a better job with communication and scheduling events.
My experience as a student at Foley High has been a mix of everything since I started school, I attended all of Foley's Schools and Grew a Bond with everyone at each school the teacher and members of the school really made us feel like family there they would all help no matter what and would always make us cheer up that why we're known as the "Lion Pride" and "One Roar" although school can't have perfect experiences Foley has never failed me. The Teachers are always up to help you finish Work after school or Tutor you in subjects you might not understand although we get bashed for not being like other school, we all work together to become the best school in Baldwin County. Some things I would change about the school is the design and to hire more teachers many students want to do other electives but since we don't have enough teachers, we aren't able to take that elective.
From my personal experience the best thing I experienced from Foley High School are AG classes. I have become extremely involved and open about agriculture. It also has made me more sociable and open to new people. One of the negative thing from Foley High school I have experienced is that they don’t really push anyone to have a career. An example is that there’s not actually guidance of how to get to point A which is high school to point B which is an actual job. A change I would like to see in my high school is for high school to be actually stepping stone in adult hood. An example of which is being shown how to do taxes, being able to shown that their are a million different jobs and you can actually enjoy working. I wish it wasn’t so based of grades and more of the drive of work each student has.
The best thing about Foley High the school is like one big family. They provide many different opportunities for everyone ranging from sports, clubs, dual enrollments, extracurricular classes, to many more options. I love that I got to experience many different options of opportunities but I didn't like the fact that the school was not good on communication but that is something they are working on because the school's learning system is changing more and more.
Foley high school is very diverse and welcoming to all students. You are sure to feel at home as a foley lion, the academic success is pushed strongly toward students to make sure that we stay encouraged for our very near futures. There are many opportunities to get involved and make sure your voice is heard! There are many different programs introduced for freshmen to senior to make sure that your high school experience is a breeze.
I believe Foley High School made my 4 years enjoyable because of the staff. I played soccer there for 5 years because I was brought up as an 8th grader to play for the women's varsity soccer team and was all varsity for 5 years straight.
Overall, I liked Foley High School, I wish there was more involvement between students and teachers and things that made the school fun in order for people to show up more everyday.
I would like the administrators look more into bullying, self harm, grades rather than the way students dress, act, and express themselves as an individual. Foley High can do a lot better, but many students do not feel as if they can share their ideas to create a better school system for themselves and the future generations. School should be a place where kids are looking forward to learn and “hang out” with their friends, instead, they have to worry about their safety constantly, overthinking about themselves, and feeling overwhelmed because of the amount of pressure the administrators and teachers put onto the kids. When the kids try to reach out for help, most of the administrators, office ladies, and even guidance counselors are rude to where they are not open and willing to help. This needs to change, not for my class, but for those future generations that will lead in the future.
Foley High School is one of the schools in Baldwin County that chose to participate in the dual enrollment program. These classes helped me grow personally and professionally and has prepared me for college. My high school counselor, Mrs. O'Toole, has been an asset in that preparation.
The environment is honestly appalling, you're constantly being ridiculed by your classmates. Some of the teachers are reluctant to help students in need.
