Air Ambulance lands in Woolwich after serious assault
An Air Ambulance has landed in Woolwich this afternoon after a serious assault.
Footage on social media shows a number of people attacking an individual near the Elizabeth line station beside the entrance to the Royal Arsenal site close to Marks and Spencer.
The video shows someone stamping on the head of a person lying on the ground while being assaulted by others.
A massive emergency services presence is currently on the ground in the area alongside a police helicopter looking for suspects.
Anyone with information or video footage/photos that can assist in finding those responsible call police on 101.

I hope these cowards are caught and brought to justice and as soon as possible. They are two scared to fight one on one and have to go mob handed in gangs or use a weapon.
Violent crime is out of control in London and Sadiq Khan in his role as Police and Crime Commissioner For London is doing nothing to tackle it.
I hope the victim goes on to make a full recovery both physically and emotionally.
I absolutely agree Graham. You are right in what you say. Sadly crime continues to get worse by the day. The Mayor of London/Police and Crime Commissioner For London Sadiq Khan needs to get a grip and start tackling this issue now.
