Kim Kardashian made heads turn at the Met Gala 2024. She once again showed who is the true queen of the red carpet. The theme for the year – “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” — drew inspiration from J.G. Ballard’s timeless tale, setting the stage for a night of fashion fantasy. And, Kim made a stunning appearance in Maison Margiela Artisanal by John Galliano. The centrepiece of her outfit was a pale grey thistle-washed boiled cashmere cardigan, casually draped over a corset crafted from eighteenth-century antique brocade fabric. It was accentuated by shimmering jacquard silver threads that danced in the light. Completing the ensemble was an ‘exfoliage’ skirt, meticulously hand-wired with silver metal formations resembling lace, flowers, leaves, and sprigs.

These elements were intricately intertwined with silver chain and floral motifs cut from mirror fragments, adorned with sparkling crystal pendants, pearls, and elegant clasped jewellery. The gown, which fitted her like a glove, highlighted her tiny waist as she gracefully moved through the gala.
