Becky Martin is one of television’s very best comedy directors with a BAFTA win for the cult comedy series ‘Peep Show’ and 3 subsequent Best Comedy BAFTA nominations.
Becky won the Directors Guild of America Award (DGA) for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in a Comedy Series for HBO’s ‘Veep’ for her season finale episode ‘Inauguration’.
For commercials Becky’s British Safety Video has won several awards; Cannes Lions Bronze, 2 x British Arrows Bronze, Creative Circle Silver and APA Collection Award.
Her directing career began after writing and directing on ‘Comedy Nation’, a show which subsequently launched many other comedy careers including those of David Mitchell and Sacha Baron Cohen.
Other TV credits include ‘Pete Vs Life’, ‘The Peter Serafinowicz Show’ which also earned her first BAFTA nomination, and most recently the satirical drama ‘Succession’ for HBO, where she teamed up again with the show’s creator and ‘Peep Show’ writer Jesse Armstrong.
