Cream (2) – Live Cream

Când vorbim despre Cream, ne gândim la crema unor muzicieni, care la acel moment făceau furori prin imprimările de studio sau în concert. Discul de față este prima parte a unui periplu de imprimări live, piesele prezente pe disc fiind excepțional interpretate de cei trei muzicieni de excepție. Disc live imprimat foarte bine, pe care nu ar tebui să-l ratați. Nota 9,40.

Oh man, THIS record.... I never really understood why so many people hated it and dismissed it as a "bargain bin throwaway". This is really an underrated gem *because* of its imperfections, flaws and mistakes... the louder and more obnoxious they got here, the more I loved it. NSU is borderline punk rock. The whole record cannot be played loud enough on your stereo.

Now if you really wanted a throwaway bargain bin pile of trash, go grab Eagles Live.

I bought three of these Wheels Of Fire Cream Live vol 1 and 2 .... Wheels Of Fire sounded good. Vol 1 and Vol 2 sounded terrible. I don't recall the CD's of any of the Cream releases sounding bad... However when they done again for digital downloads it's possible Vol 1 and 2 sound just like these records ... Way too bass heavy. My 1985 Grey label reissues don't sound anything like these. Wheels was different it sounded like it should.

i own one of these, bought it back in the 90s for $100

A great sounding reissue; it's probably sourced from digital but the dynamics and clarity are good (considering the rough live source of the recording) and the pressing is quiet and flat.

My disc has identical matrix/runout code, but no SID, and says "MADE IN W.GERMANY BY PDO".

I have this canadian pressing with two "Side B" labels.

Cream is excellent band but always you can't get it right, like this album. When you listen it carefully you notice that vocalist is out of tune. I think the guitar work is a uniform thickness and repetitive in place, it lacks all the highlights. Not everything can be put on a live recording, the reason. I'am disappointed in this album.
